Women usually don't lose a pound a day, merivat. Sad but true. The average is .5 - .75 a day and it comes in fits and stalls. But this totally works and resets your metabolism which is the best part!
skinny, I wouldn't use bottled lemon juice. The juice of one lemon is allowed but it would be hard to figure out how much that is plus any that I've seen have chemical preservatives in it too! :-( Colleen
Its not easy cooking separate meals for my family. Like my kids, my 19 month old baby and myself. But I don't want to give in, I am getting really close to it. I know I will regret it. I will try to impliment some changes or tweeking tommorow. Hopefully, I will look at the scale tommorow morning and find it a lb less---*and there would be my motivation......................... I have one more question can we have fat free cottage cheese and not have slowed down weight loss. I got to feed my kids and put them to bed. I hope to get on later tonight or tommorow. weston- tuna is not on the original protocol, although many people have added white tuna as long as it is packed in water. i would read the ingredients on the canned chicken- it may have sugar, or have a lot of sodium that causes water retention. make sure you compare your food list to the original protocol.
not to criticize the clinic, but many stick to their guns no matter what people's experiences are, or no matter how much their views are not backed up by science. that said, i can't prove the higher dose is better, either. 125 is the proper dose for IM injections, but most docs/clinics use a higher dose for subq shots. we've seen many people on here who have hunger at 125, and no hunger when they increase their dose.
your loading doesn't look that great- lots of sugar, but not lots of pure fats. good loading foods are cheese, nuts, avocados, pizza top (without crust), eggs, bacon, sausage, lots of butter. if you don't load well, Dr. S. says you might not feel that great until about day 12. but he also says that it should not require "any effort" to stay on the vlcd, except for the first 3 days (even then, it should be minimal).
so if you're ravenous at vlcd 4, i think your dose should be higher. perhaps try telling them you've done a ton of research online and that most clinics are using at least 175 units per day. some do 150, very few do 125, and most do 175 to 200.
tamara- the point of the last vlcd's is to allow the hcg to get fully out of your system before re-introducing foods. your body is very sensitive to fats while on hcg, so you really should wait until at least 72 hrs.
I was also hungry on my first few days. Grammy told me to up the dose and I feel SOOOOO much better! Thanks COLLEEN!! Did 20 drops twice yesterday and that made all the difference. Last night my SO told me I looked much leaner, can actually see my ab cuts a little...Total weight loss not including load weight/loss is 4.8# since Monday. This tells me that I am becoming much leaner and that I am indeed burning that ugly fat!!
