    That's talking about interruptions to treatment, Kay. Not ending the protocol totally at 20 injections. He's talking there about taking a break then picking back up after a few days.

    I'm not familiar with those meds, Linda, but most meds don't seem to affect the protocol. Most of us have stayed on all our meds. It's just a fact of life that some lose faster than others. we can't compare ourselves to others' losses. :-(

    Good morning all you great loosers! :) Today is VLCD# 9 and I was up .6 this morning. My first gain of this round. I tried the asparagus soup last night for the first time and maybe asparagus doesn't agree with me. Can't complain though with all the lbs I have dropped so far. Today is a new day!

    Congragts to everyone and their progress so far!

    KAY--Yes my doctor put me on a low calorie "cleansing diet" two weeks prior to starting the HCG to help me prepare for the VLCD that the HCG would be. I started at 304 lbs 3 weeks ago and weighed 277.3 this morning! I have not cheated at all- but I wanted PIZZA SO BAD LASTNIGHT I COULD BARELY SLEEP!! I dont understand it! lol......

    I heard a great quote from a friend of mine today and I thought i could share it with you all to help motivate us today.........she said Heather......you have to keep reminding yourself that:

    NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS!! ---- I SMILED AND SAID SHE IS PROBABLY RIGHT! HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

    Bummer Paulla!! Asparagus has been the only thing keeping me alive over the past week!!! Maybe it was the soup combo-- have you eaten asparagus by itself without the soup? Does is cause a gain for you?

    Good morning all, R1P2VLCD9- Gained .4lb :o( I do feel its water retention, my fingers were so swollen that my rings would not come off! Although I drank so much tea and water yesterday, I think the diuretic makes my body lazy to release the fluids on its own. So I am staying positive the best I can. Only have lost 5.6 lbs after the load weight, hopefully it start to drop soon. Good Luck today all!

    Goooooood morning everyone!

    Said goodbye to another 1.2 lbs this morning and I can't say that I miss it one little bit! That means I hit the TEN POUNDS GONE club!! Yeah!!! Down to 171.0 this morning! Starting weight 181.2! Love it!!! Still makes me wonder where I'd be at if it weren't for that 3-day setback from the cheat... but, again, c'est la vie, right? I sure hope this pound a day keeps up! I know I'm bound to hit a stall here soon... but I'm lovin it for now! Most of the weight seems to be coming off my midsection first. Which is interesting because I gained the weight pretty evenly. I'm almost a different shape right now than I was before. Almost an exaggerated houglass... I hope the HCG starts eating some of my thigh meat here soon- there's plenty of it! I'd love to fit into a great pair of jeans again! Hope to do that next week! :) That's so awesome to think... any other time I've dieted it's been, "well, maybe I'll be able to wear these jeans in a month or two..." But not with my good pal HCG! Now it's next WEEK!

    My hunger is all but completely gone now. Which is fabulous. Still have emotional/mental cravings for the sugar and carbs I used to binge on but I've kicked those thoughts right out! Or I just deal with it and remind myself that I AM IN CONTROL OF WHAT ACTUALLY GOES IN MY MOUTH. I love it! It's so... liberating!

    Here's a thought... anyone NOT able to eat the 500 calories??? With 2 portions of chicken (don't eat red meat) and veggies plus one fruit (we only have large apples so I split them for the day)... I only wind up somewhere between 250-350 calories. I think my lowest day was 225. Which is CRAZY to think... but I'm SOOOO not hungry. I don't want to add anything outside the protocol... but I just wanted to see what you guys think about this. Think I should try to force myself to eat the full 500 or am I OK? I just don't want to screw up the metabolism reset by not eating enough!! Don't want my body starving... even if I'm not hungry.

    Everyone is doing SO great! Chug that water FIESTY!!! Chug, Chug, CHUUUUUUG!!!

    Ooh ooh... also found a great protein shake that is protocol friendly!! In case you get sick of meat for a day! Check out Jay Robb's Whey Protein (made with water instead of milk) - it actually tastes pretty decent! 110 cals, 1 carb, and 25g of protein (no fat)! Almost identical to chicken! And... it's made with STEVIA for a sweetener! Beautiful!

    This is R1P2, VLCD1 for me...had sliced chicken breast(w/ garlic salt and pepper) and 2 cups of Romaine lettuce for lunch...have drank 1 liter of water and .75 liters of tea and coffee so far...it is around noon my time...I guess I feel pretty normal, maybe a little light headed..so looking forward to seeing what the scale says tomorrow morning!!!

    cotton - make sure to watch the ingredients in your spices. I was amazed to see that my garlic salt had sugar and fat in it!

    Thanx Linda Lou!!...using McCormick's and it does not list any sugar and fat, but does say it has 'garlic oil' in it....
