they are not on the original protocol but lot's of people use them {hey they were not around at that time} I myself have used a few of their products with out any adverse effects my fav is the BBQ sauce and the Thousand island...I just found a store here that carries all their products and I'm going to get other flavors this week can't wait to try the asian dressing
Ok, thanks for the info! I just had about a tsp on some chicken breast and romaine. It was definitely an improvement over vinegar and lemon juice. It does say sucralose in the ingredients and that concerns me a bit.
I think walden farms products are a matter of personal taste. Some people think they are quite good, some ok and others think they are nasty. So you just have to try it to see which category you're in. I tried the ranch and caesars and they are barely passable and I elected to make an apple cider vinegar dressing with some added spices instead. I don't like vinegar dressings very much but it was better than the walden farms to me.
I tried the Ranch Dressing and the BBQ sauce and thought they were both NASTY. I just threw them out. I'd rather eat my stuff plain than have that taste in my mouth. Sorry Walden Farms doesn't get my vote!!
I have tried most of the Walden Farms products, and it is really hit or miss in terms of flavor. I have generally found that anything meant to be creamy is not good. My favorites are the chocolate fudge, the marshmallow dip(both delicious dipped in strawberries), the Asian is great for stir frys, the Raspberry dressing is great, and the Pancake syrup is delicious!!
Walden Farms does have sugar alcohol(s) in it..splenda'ish - so use it wisely, if you use it. As for the flavors... to each his/her own - some are passable to me other not so much.
