I started out with a DR. and I never realized that I could do this on my own, and once I did I quit going to the Dr. and got a refund! Im doing subcutaneous injections and for me they dont hurt really at all. This is only my 4th day, still battling some hunger but Im hoping it subsides soon! Im going to follow DR. S's protocal to a T if I can because I want to lose as much weight as possible this time around. I plan on doing another 23 day round after the 1st of the yr!

I don't think there is ever an ideal time to do this diet. Something will always come up that makes it inconvenient. I knew I wouldn't be done with 43 days of P2 in time for Thanksgiving, but I went ahead with my plan. Because...Christmas would come after that, then New Years parties, then someone's birthday, a trip out of town, a wedding, Easter, and on and on. I would just dive in and get it over with. The good feelings of losing a bunch of weight score higher than Thanksgiving dinner for me.

That's a good point. There will always be something. I guess it can help turn my mind away from associating celebrations and other events as occasions for food, food, food.

ckell- but you also want to set yourself up to succeed. so if you have a lot of holiday parties, family gatherings, etc., it may be better to wait until jan. if not, you could start now, or even after thanksgiving- get in a short round, and just be on P3 by christmas time. no way would i want to be on P2 at christmas. i've timed my rounds so i'll be on P4 then- it's the only time all year i see my family.

no problem with continuing to exercise- you may just have to scale back a little, depending on how much energy you have.

personally i find the shots very easy- quick jab in the morning and you're done. no watching the clock to get your SL doses 12 hrs apart, holding it under your tongue, waiting before and after to eat, etc. for my friends who have done both, they've ended up preferring the shots. the needle is so thin, it's nothing.

skinney- we're so glad you got your refund, and are now one of US!

I get tired of holding the stuff under my tongue. The shots are way easy and you don't feel them. But just so you know, you don't have to wait to eat or drink before or after sublingual. and you don't have to avoid mint. All of that's only for homeopathic. The sublingual is a pure absorption thing and when you're done, you swallow it and have your coffee! :-) But shots are easier. I think I will try IM on my last round in the new year.

I think we are, queen! But that's okay. We can take one for the team. I will have used every type of hcg method except the homeopathic! :-) I'll learn from you and make sure I get the smallest possible IM needle too!

yes, make sure it's that specialty needle. i bought the 22 gauge 1" ones, and got very bruised every time i took a shot- so i went back to SQ. mary told me these were available- here's the link: http://www.healthwarehouse.com/nipro-hypodermic-needle-27-gauge-1-1-4-100-count.html

I did the SQ the last time I did it and did fine with it. They were same little needles used for diabetics. Do you inject anywhere? Last time I did my stomach.
