Ok, so I cut out my fruit and melba toast, just to get into ketosis, and it worked. Now I wanna knock myself out - because I feel blah! I will resume eating my fruit after T-Day. I don't want to take any chances. As long as ketosis is present, I can make through the holiday for sure. LOL.
fruit and veggies are so important in p2 and p3 and are not to be forgotten. MY thoughts....You must carry over the included fruit (apples and berries) into P3 so your body still incorporates that bit of natural sugar into your set point or else introducing more sugars and starches in P4 will probably a bigger shock to your body that has been on strict low carb only diet. People who do an atkins type induction diet for 3 weeks fruits aren't allowed during atkins induction are setting set points without any natural sugars allowed from fruit. HCG seems to have its own food pyramid-- Protein, veggies (the good ones), fruit, good fats, and some dairy. It's the bread that is out---but it was the bread that got us fat. Bread and starch in p4 will have to be very slow introduction--making choices that give us the most fiber, nutrition, and won't make our insulin go through the roof. I would think bread/sweet potato would be best eaten with the meal with the protein to counter the surge of carbs into the body vs alone as a meal or a snack.
