This is very interesting. The most common response to hunger is to up the dose. It is very possible that lowering the dose is just as legitimate. I'm so glad that this has happened on my second round and not my first. I know what it should feel like and this ain't it.

It would for sure make sense that better quality hcg would require a lesser dose. It' really hard for me to believe taht anything made in China would be of a better quality than something made in Switzerland of India. Time will tell and I'll let you all know how this skipping a day and lowering my dose works. The last time when I took to much 250iu I skipped a day and by evening I wasn't smelling food anymore or wanting to eat so this shouldn't take too long to figure out.

No, no. I meant only if it was a continuing problem. If you've felt OVERALL that you hunger has been controlled and fairly good mood, don't worry, the HCG was working!!

betheaux - How often have you mixed your hcg? Are you doing a long round or a short one? Last short round I only mixed once and toward the end I began to feel minor hunger so it could be that the hcg is loosing it's strength. It's good that you only have one day to go on the injections. You'll be fine :~)

beth- another thought is that if you've done 40 days, you could be slowly reaching a point of immunity.

Oh boy, well...(this story is painful but here I go)...

Ordered 2 kits to go all gung-ho on the 40 day protocol. Didn't research the science behind HCG expiration and mixed both bottles the same day! Not only that, but I waited a week after mixing to start. Only after I did this did I find this forum figured out what a wasteful and expensive mistake I made. So, I've been dipping from both bottles to "ease my conscience", since it made more sense to just finish out a 23 day protocol and throw away the rest. I felt so foolish, but at least I learned. The instructions said to mix the next batch when done with the first. I interpreted that to mean when I was done mixing the first. Self-admitted blonde here (and yes, it's natural!) On the bright side...I will be in P3 during our trip in a couple weeks which will be easier (going to our favorite Thai place in the whole world in St. Louis). Plus, I have all the needles and alcohol swaps I'll need for another 23 day round. :-)

So, the fact that the HCG is weakening does not surprise me. Could explain the slowdown and .2 and .4 gains as well.

    Beth,
I know some people frown on the practice because it can potenially weaken the batch..but Linda Prinster mentioned that you can freeze the batch. Grammy would know better than I.

i'm surprised that prinster recommends that. Dr. Geddes (treats with hcg full-time) advises against freezing- she says it damages the protein. it also says "do not freeze" on the box.

No she recommends not to...but she said some people do it. I worded in a way that gave the wrong impression.

Didn't hurt my feelin's babe. Don't let those two do a number on you. I respect your opinions and am not offended by your questions. I doubt that any but those ones are. (talking about a different thread for those who are just tuning in)
