Thought I would start a new, positive upbeat thread for all us who are using Releana. I love my program and am happy to be under the care of such a great doctor. Have been on vlcd 5 weeks and lost 24 pounds.

Need to lose 30-40 more. I am 51 years young and have a first grandbaby on the way and thought I better get in shape so I can keep up with him or her. Would some of you like to tell something about yourself, just so we can get to know each other better. I am from Loveland, Co.
    Thankful People: Shon

    Great Idea!!
A new thread was definitely needed!!

I officially begin P3 tomorrow morning. I am 29 lbs. down and a bucket load of inches (at least 31, but I didn't measure until 2 weeks in)

I am technically just a few short pounds away from my goal but I am thrilled with the inches and now I just need to tone this new body!

I will keep you all posted on P3 results and progress, there is definitely some anxiety about eating a "normal" amount again, but I have know a network of people that have done Releana and stabilized perfectly well. Releana works!

Hope you all have a super successful, positive, loving day :-)

    Thanks for starting this.

I'm on my 23rd day and it TOM for me. So, I have no idea if I will lose more when it's done. I hope so. My cycle seems to be that I lose every 3 days. Zero, Zero, then a loss. Usuall the loss is over a pound but, today was just .6. So, maybe tomorrow or Monday it will be more. I've lost 11lbs. The inches are slowing down at the moment, but I'm hoping that changes too. I spoke with someone at Releana yesterday and he told me that our weight sometimes redistributes. That if we have more fat in one part of our body then some of it moves to another part so it is easier to lose there than where there is a lot. He said that a number of drs have reported that. I thought that was really interesting.

I did 2 full cycles, I started September 15th. Yes, real foods!! My diet "pre-releana" was actually incredibly healthy. I am a bit of a natural food junkey. So transitioning back to that will be a joy. I have read about a lot of people eating tons of bacon, eggs, cheese, etc on their first few days with real food...that would not work for me. I didn't eat that way before so I don't plan to now....but gosh, I can't wait to have a big salad with mixed veggies!!! And I have been craving a walnut for about 5 weeks now :-)

Yes, I will definitely keep you all updated to be sure that the Releana users all have a super successful P3/P4!!!

    dgg,
My weight loss throughout the protocol fluctuated. There were periods of time that I didn't lose at all then I would have a week where I lost a ton. I stalled during my TOM for at least 5 days both times.
The average weight loss still came out to be about 1/2 lb. per day, which is perfectly fine for me. I never did any kind of an apple day, just persevered and was patient with the weight loss and inches lost.
Very interesting about the weight redistribution! My thighs have not been this size since high school.

I am off to buy some new clothes. I have literally absolutely nothing that fits. A great problem to have :-)

    Stay strong! Releana works!

Thanks for your info...It's comforting to hear from someone whose weight loss was not as consistent as most seem to be. I imagine there could be a number of reasons for me but, to be able to lose weight at all is a miracle because up until this, I not only couldn't lose any weight - no matter what I did or how much I worked out, I started to consistently gain weight over the past year due to health issues - one of which was high blood sugar levels.

Are you actually in NYC? If you are, just curious about where you doc is. I'm in NYC.

Glad to see you guys came on over to this thread. Do any of you ever go out to eat, and if so how do you handle it?

Nyc Looking forward to your posts on P3.Love to hear others experiences. Great motivation for me. Can't wait to get there myself.

Releasing--Could you explain the whisper thing and how it works. Am fairly new here, so your help would be appreciated.

I wonder if I know your friend from Loveland. I have been here 40 years so do know quite a few people.

deb- at the top of the pink comment box there is a box that says, "whisper your comments to". if you put a person's username in that box, the message will appear on your screen but they will be the only forum member who can read it. then you can "whisper back" to that person as well. -m

deb130 if you want to just message one person on the thread you type there name in the box above the comment box {optional} it only goes to that person So on the other Releana thread I just left a message for each of the Releana users....

I want to say I had a great day today I started to paint my living room and I'm just loving the color I picked... It's called Pasta it's just has made the room so warm and cozy with a cheery feel with a fresh coat of paint everything is looking so clean and neat ... I will say that I worked a little slower and decided not to finish today because i was worries about putting out to much energy normally I would finish a room in a day ... i forgot all about lunch and didn't stop til 4pm to eat ... i'm going to make a quick meatball soup with spinach for dinner just to make sure I get my 500 cals in...

dgg I was stuck for 3 days finally today 1/2 lb released and gone forever my goal is 15 lbs this month I know I have very little control of that but I'm putting it out there so my body will listen...
