P2 is phase 2 which is where most people start...very low calorie diet with ....injections/drops of hcg. P3 is Phase 3 the 3 week transition time out of p2 in which you can eat what ever you want EXCEPT starch and sugar. P4 is Phase 4 which is another 3 week period in which you add slowly, one new food a day (as I understand it..I'm still 1st p3), add back in starches and sugars....watching to make sure your weight doesn't fluctuate over 2 pounds over your last injection weight or LIW...which would indicate a sensitivity to a particular food item you probably should stay away from. These phase numbers are delegated by Kevin Trudeau who wrote a book called The Weight Loss cure "they" don't want you to know about. Dr. Simeon's who created the protocol we are following wrote a document called "Pounds and Inches Away" which you can download for free from the home page of this forum. If you have not already seen Dr. S's document.....I highly recommend it.
Dr. S doesn't really refer to P1,p2,p3,p4...he pretty much refers to the diet and then maintenance..but two parts of the maintenance which we call p3, p4.

sjb, you want to go with your last injection weight, not the lowest weight you got to after the last 3 VLCD's. So if you are only one pound over that weight, you are doing fine.

A protein day is used in p3 to correct a weight gain....basically eat mostly protein with a few p2 allowed veggies....It will help bring your weight back to LIW

sjb, I was very bad for a weekend just a few days into the "eat normally but no starch or sugar". I had high protein days for a week and the extra 5 lbs came off. Don't despair!

SJB, there aren't any "meal plans" with P3, but here's what I did:
On a "protein" day, I ate something like this: eggs and bacon for breakfast (2 eggs, scrambled made in pan with non-stick spray along with some precooked and heated bacon-like 2 slices); coffee with heavy cream. For lunch a fajita (beef) taco with avacado and mozz cheese. I didn't eat the flour tortilla, just the "insides" of the taco, for snack an atkins bar -I pick ones without too much of the sugar alcohols-, supper would be a hamburger patty with cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickles. One tablespoon of chilled natural peanut butter (crunchy), for "dessert". During the day I would drink lots of water, coffee and sugar free (I only add lemon but add stevia if you like) tea. On my "protein" days I don't eat fruit...but I don't think an apple would hurt you. this has worked for me but some people have trouble with the peanut butter.
