So, I've got just a few more injections left and I am SCARED to DEATH of P3!! Please give me your best tips. I've been very successful on P2 and so don't want to gain more than a few pounds. I can say that I have missed cheese more than anything. Has anyone been able to eat any kind of cheese successfully? Goat cheese and feta are my favorites. Thanks in advance from the rookie.

I've eaten tons of cheese. Just go slow and don't add in tons of new things all at once. Also get your protein up there. I'll be right behind you on P3!

    carolynd-

P3 can feel intimidating, but it really should be fun :) I am on my second p3 day 11. I did one steak day on round 1 the day before TOM started. I did one steak and cheese day this round due to hunger edema. Other than that I absolutely LOVE p3. I have tracked everything I have eaten and weigh ins since I started HCG, on my blog. It is myhcgstory.blogspot.com. It can give you some ideas of what P3 can look like. I keep my protein, and fats high. Fruits to a couple a day. And p3 treats in moderation. I eat eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, cream, sour cream, coconut, coconut flour, almond flour, almonds, almond butter, etc. I just don't go crazy with anything. On things like coconut flour muffins, I limit my self to one a day. Drink your water! I try to walk about 45 minutes per day. Just take it slow and see how your body reacts to things. Make sure to get in enough calories or else that will make you gain as well :)

Best tip: Chill out and quit worrying. Don't beat your self up with celery sticks. Almost anything you do can be reversed if you stop and get back on the wagon. I don't mean to not be intentional.....but, the daily worry-fest is not really necessary......Doo, doot, doot doo do dooo, Don't Worry, Be Happy!

Im nervous about starting P3 tomorrow. From what I gather I am just supposed to add more protein and P2 foods to about 1500 calories and then see how it goes. If all is well add one item per day like cheese or alvacado or eggs or dressings ?? And then see how that goes?? Is there any way to add like bacon and alvacado in the same day?? I am sooo hungry and out of will power.

Also where are all of these great recipes coming from? Is there a book I can get that everyone else has been using? I have eaten only broiled chicken asparagus, cucumbers and apples for the last 40 days and I am pretty over it. I didn't realize you could eat interesting things like chili etc on p2 so I am a little burned out. Will Power wavering at a very critical time. Just don't want to lose control tomorrow but I am Really Ready to be off of this phase. Please correct me here - I start tomorrow. Thank You!

Gracee has the right idea. I think the safest way to enter P3 if you want to avoid the trama of a gain is to increase your portions of P2 foods and increase your variety of veggies (no starchy ones yet) right away, paying special attention to getting enough protein. Then try other things one at a time. Some people add a bunch of stuff on day 1 (eggs, cheese, nuts) and do just fine. But many discover food allergies along the way that cause them to gain weight. I gain weight with cow cheese. Goat cheese is okay for me. Avocado should be safe.

I love feta and had it on my first day of P3 in my eggs which were scrambled in real butter. I waited a week to add cheddar and it was fine.

I agree with gjpayne05 in addition well marbled steaks and I ate pork rinds with sour cream dip all the time. One steak day because I didn't eat enough for a couple of days. Don't count calories just watch the ingredients in things til you see what has sugar or starches in it. Like some bacon is cured in sugar.

Oh and even if you loose during your last 72 hours with no injections, remember it's your LIW you need to watch. Expect to gain when you start eating P3, fluctuations are normal just watch the LIW.

    Carolyn:

Goat cheese and feta should be OK as long as you do it in moderation. They are among the least fat of cheeses depending on the brand of course. I had no problem on P3 even though I was really scared after reading all the posts. I ate lots of protein and kept up the gallons--just kidding--of water and stayed completely away from ANY starches and sugars which meant reading labels very carefully. But I ate just about everything else--lots of cheese, nuts and nut butters; even though they are a problem for some people, they were never one for me. I also limited high sugar fruits like pineapple, grapes and mangos. Good luck, you'll love it after the restictions of P2.
