YAY! I really appreciate everyone joining in with all of these recipes. I think part of what got me here in the first place is my love for cooking! Thank you for all of your creative ideas to help keep all of us going!
Is MUSTARD allowed? It has no calories, but you never can tell for sure with this protocol if something has some hidden forbidden ingredient. I would appreciate any info. Thanks,
I used mustard during p2, as it has zeros in the nutirtional column. Dr. Simeons makes reference to mustard powder I think, but can't recall whether anything was said about mustard per se. It has sodium though, so may make you retain water if you are not used to it.
Hmmmmm, could that be my problem? I'm wondering if it is the mustard or maybe the spices that I'm using????? Weight is comming off veeeeeeeeeeery slowly. Day 27 and 17 # off(post load weight). no more of that stuff for me, last 5 days and I'm going to use only salt and pepper. I really want to get to 165 this round. I guess that 17# is just over .5 per day and thats normal for women.
Thank you all for responding to that mustard question. It is confusing because, in general I think we are allowed spices and salt, but maybe there is something in mustard that is problematic. I wonder if Margie would know? I will let you all know if I find more info.
I am confused by so many of these recipes. Maybe I got different guidelines? I have not allowed any stevia, dressing, anything in my diet. I was told that I could use organic herbs and spices, sea salt, pepper, and nothing else on my food. And oranges? That is allowed? I saw a recipe with vinegarette. I am so sick of eating this food, although I am loving eating so healthy it is tuff to eat. I started my p2 20 days ago, including load days, and have lost 21#. I only have 20# more to go and I am confident that it will happen in the next 20 days, I want to try these recipes but I am scared that it will effect my weight loss.
Read Pounds and Inches, afreetly, and you'll see the actual protocol. Stevia is allowed but no commercial dressings. You can use lemon juice or vinegar for dressing or make up your own with strawberries. Oranges are allowed. Colleen
