I tried some stevia that advertised no bitter aftertaste- the brand name is NOW- it was really good in my coffee w/o the aftertaste like the sweetleaf brand , however after reading the package I saw malodextrin and silica as extra ingredients- is this still acceptable- I am on P4 now, but still like to use less sugar as possible and I want to know if I can continue to use this in my next round of P2.
I was at a health food store a few days ago and asked where the Stevia was. The girl showed me the aisle, and then showed me a product that she said was the same as SweetLeaf stevia. I looked at the ingredients and it had maltodextrin and silica too. Not even close to being the same ingredients. Isn't silica another name for sand? I didn't buy it.
I use NuNaturals pure liquid stevia (clear and vanilla). Kinda pricey but doesn't have any after taste (at least I don't taste any). I also have Peppermint and Chocolate liquid stevia (sweetleaf brand) and they are pretty good also. Maybe the liquid stevia choices would have less of an after taste for you. I have to admit I have also used the Sweetleaf powder sweetner. I find that has abit of an after taste but not in everything I've tried it in. I have never used the NOW brand.
