    Ok, my local pharmacy is pissing me off. my needles didn't come in yesterday as promised. i know they have 27g 5/8 needle in stock but what i want to know is, where is the best injection site for a shorter needle? I want to do IM b/c it requires a lower dose.

    You can't get it into the muscle with that short of a needle. :-(

    Well...you could maybe get it into the muscle if you use your deltoid (upper arm)...but you would have to have someone else give the shots to you...its impossible to get the right angle by doing it yourself. If you are more than 30 or 40 lbs overweight, you may not be able to get into the deltoid either.

    You could try the deltoid...someone has to do it for you. You need to pinch the entire deltoid...ie finger on one side of the arm, thumb on the other side.....measure 3 finger widths down from the top of the arm...put the needle all the way in.

    hmmmmm, I wouldn't....there are some major vessels there.

    the needles i used were short like yours and i did the shots an my calves arms hip stomach and thighs
    i was way way overweight too embarrassing to say how much=( but i still lost well and i always lost the inch that day in the area i shot
    and i only gave them to my self no help and yes it stings a little in a more toned muscle
    =)

    I used 1" needles and did IM in my thighs only last round and I think I lost well....Hope that continues for next round as I already had the needles for this round left over.

    Remember guys, 5/8 's is just slightly longer than half an inch.....its no where near an inch.
