Has anyone else had this suggested to them? Today was my last injection so I will be on P3 for T-giving. I was considering making that my cheat day and eating whatever I wanted. My dr. told me it can actually help revamp your metabolism. I have to say I REALLY want some carbs on Thanksgiving!!
No, I don't think so. I am done with my first vial of HCG and she has totally left it up to me if I do another round. I trust her completely and know that's not her motivation.
Well, most of us felt pretty sick on day 1 of p3. So if you dive right into Thanksgiving, you may spend the day near to the bathroom. I was totally unprepared for how much nausea I had on day 1 of P3. And I ate only P3 approved foods..
There was actually a diet book a while back that said to change around your calories daily. If you keep your body guessing you keep your metabolism up. So maybe there is something to it and she has seen this clinically.
The problem is that this is Dr. Simeon's protocol. He spent years researching this. Yes, I know about "keeping your body guessing", but P3 is where your resetting everything. Everything you've just done is so very fragile. I'd just be very careful.
Why mess with a system that is already proven to work?
I know for sure that a carb cheat day isn't even remotely necessary for P3. I was able to stabilize on my last P3 without cheating. So, my question would be, why would I even want a cheat day? Craving carbs is the last reason I would use to justify it. It's a catch 22. If you really want carbs that badly, you probably shouldn't have them. And, If you didn't want carbs, why would you bother?
I personally think the doc is misguided. Most of us are doing hCG because we are addicted to carbs to some degree. Why would the doctor suggest cheating during the most important part of the diet, when you are trying to stabilize your weight? Someone who gets out of rehab shouldn't be having a cheat day with their party friends, and I think the same is true for food. I want to give myself enough time to adjust before I tempt myself with food I clearly don't need. Besides, carbs are allowed in P4, so why rush into it? That is just my take. I don't buy into the "I deserve it" mentality. It's precisely that feeling of entitlement that I am trying so hard to get rid of.
I personally wouldn't do it bc I'm a carb addict and the can send me into a mega binge. Plus you've got your body efficiently burning fat for fuel now. Giving it a lot of glucose can throw a wrench in that.
i definitely would not do it. a bite of a couple things is one thing, but if you eat a lot of carbs the chances are good that you'll gain quickly, and may stabilize higher than if you hadn't cheated. not worth it in my book.
Wow, I guess I never thought 1 day could actually derail all 40 of P2. The dr. definitely told me not to go crazy! I guess I'll do my best to not go too far outside of P3 guidelines. I have been so, super disciplined on P2. I literally had 1 piece of melba toast during the entire phase so yes, I kind of do feel like I deserve a little break!! But, I hear ya...
