Hi everyone! I am a newbie to hCG...have some friends who have had wonderful success...and so far so have I. I was wondering about going out to dinner tonight. It is a special occasion and we are going out to eat. I was thinking about what to order and suggestions...I know the obvious grilled chicken. I was really wanting a baked potato before you yell at me not the whole thing mind you. What will happen if I eat this...will I gain a bunch of weight...any advice would be great. I am craving french fries so bad so I thought at least a BP would be better. By the way I have lost 14 pounds in just under two weeks. Thanks for ther info.
You'll likely gain, Kim. Then stall for 3 days. A starch would be one of the worst things you could pick. Even eating out will likely make you go up some because of the sodium and fats they will likely use to cook it in. You have to decide if it's worth that cheat. It wouldn't be worth it to me. -( Colleen
Kim - there will be plenty of time for eating all you want in P3 and P4. It just really isn't worth it. If you want to continue with good losses and stabilize well I would suggest that you just pass on eating but enjoy the company and the celebration. I've done it several times and it' not that hard if you set your mind to it. If you decide that cheating is not an option then you won't cheat, if you decide that it is an option then you probably will.
try Jason's deli. You can order a small spinach salad (only spinach : ) with a a side of either pot roast or grilled chicken. They have cucumbers too. They also have organic tea and coffee and lemons and strawberries...I ate there several times on P2 and always lost afterward. Just a suggestion. Potatoes are BAD on P2. They are very starchy and you will stall or gain for 3 days. It is so frustrating. Or you could try red lobster and have coctail shrimp or steamed lobster (with NO butter sauce). If you can resist the rolls, you'll do fine. A cheat just isn't worth it. Its only a few minutes of pleasure (eating the potato) with several days of stall/regret. Power through this! You can do it!!
Kim, I have been out to eat several times on P2 and still lost. No starches though! I always ate a petit filet, grilled chicken or grilled shrimp and sauteed spinach. I always stressed no butter or oils to the waitstaff. On P2, I would say definitely do not eat a potato or rolls. I know it's hard!! I'm on my last 72 hours of P2 and I am DYING to eat something starchy. Hang in there though! You can do it.
Thanks guys! I will be ok...thanks for the restaraunt suggestions. We are going to the Olive Garden and I researched the place through the internet and called them. If I ate only half the chicken in the Apricot Chicken dish and skipped the broccoli and just ate the aspagus (they only steam no butter) would this be bad? I would have the chicken as my protein, aspargus as my veggie and the apricot as my fruit. I know I have to look at the sodium. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this. Thanks again! I have a lot of will power so if you say this wouldnt be good to try then I wont.
I went to olive garden on P2 once. the olive garden's coffee is one of the only ones that was good black! I ordered some kind of chicken with brocolli (grilled) with bowtie pasta and sauce (asked for the sauce and pasta on the side). I took the sauce and pasta home to the kids. I boxed it up right away. So I just ate the chicken and brocolli. I didn't gain.
