Can someone reference where P4 is mentioned in Pounds and Inches? He talks about the "treatment" phase (HCG injections) with 3 days of dieting after the last injection, followed by 3 weeks of eating anything except sugars and starches (it takes about 3 weeks for the new weight to become stable). After these 3 weeks, gradually add starch. I don't see any other reference to P4 or even a time reference as to how long P4 should last. Where did P4 come from? Wouldn't P4 last forever unless you start another round?
it's not in Pounds and Inches. the phases aren't mentioned at all. Kevin Trudeau who brought all our attention to the protocol uses the phases. P4 corresponds to adding back in starches and sugars. And yes it would last forever unless you did another round. Colleen
It comes from the Kevin Trudeau book -- his first phase is a cleanse, P2 is the Hcg phase, P3 is the three weeks no starch and sugar, and P4 is the rest of your life.
What phase does the "reset" take place, P2 or P3? That is something else I have not found in P&I as well--no mention of resetting your metabolism. Is that also from KT?
P3 is where your metabolism is resetting. Your hypothalamus is resting in P2. Then it all gears up again in P3. That's the most important phase really. Very important to do it right! Colleen
Ha! Call me anal! I like facts without interpretation. Everyone says that P3 is where your metabolism is resetting, but I would like an explanation of how that occurs. Since I do not see anything in P&I on resetting metabolism, where is everyone getting their information?
adipoze, have you read KT's book? I think alot of your questions would be answered there. Dr. S started the protocol, and KT gives full credit to him. all the phases are from KT's book.
truthfully, I'm not either....but in this case, I made an exception. No one is right all the time, and no one is wrong all the time. If you want to do this and be successful, you should read his book with an open mind. Just my opinion. :))
I agree. I'm not a huge fan too but I'm indebted to him for bringing this diet to the forefront again. And he did do it the right way in Europe. He adds some unnecessary things but you will understand it better when you read his book. Get it from the library if you don't want to buy it. Colleen
