I started the injections on Tuesday and I've felt miserable ever since. I didn't load properly and now I feel like I have the flu. I've had trouble keeping my food down and no matter what I do, I ache and have cramps as if I'm on my period (I'm not pregnant, there's no way). Tonight would make my fourth injection, but I don't want to feel like this for the next three weeks and onward. (I'm a wimp, I know.) Can I quit now or just stick it out? How would I go about stopping now without gaining a ton of weight back? I've lost about 6 pounds but on my short frame it's enough to make a difference.

I'm still really young and I can manage to lose weight without all these side effects, I'm think. I was just hoping for a boost and it's not anything like I expected.

britt you shouldn't feel like you have the flu from the hcg you may very well have the flu since it's flu season .....Are you hungry> hcg effects your hunger... hopefully mgsondance or grammy can tell you the best way to treat the flu.... how many days were you planning to do? you might be able to stop the shots for a few days til you feel better and start again you would have been on the vlcd at least for 23 days let's see what they say I'd make so hot tea and go to bed eat what you can from the protocol an orange will give you vitamin C.... main thing is to get better...

britt- none of those reactions are normal for the hcg. sure you're not sick? if you didn't load you might have low energy and be hungry, but you shouldn't feel like you're sick, have aching or cramps.

are you sure you're on the correct dose? did you mix the hcg yourself? tell us what size vial you got, how much water you mixed in, and how much you're injecting.

btw- some people do have a bit of nausea the first few days, but that generally disappears.

I'm not really hungry but I have been super nauseated. I planned on doing 23 days but I don't know anymore. I've been drinking Sprite 0 to help with the nausea and it has a bit. It isn't on protocol, I know, but I knew any medicine syrups would hurt worse than the sprite. I'm exposed to a lot of people every day so I could have the flu but it's only after I take the HCG that I start feeling worse. I've had horrid headaches too. I'm thinking about sticking to my newly adopted eating habits but I'm afraid I'll gain the weight back no matter what I eat. The thought of sugar at this point makes me sick, but so does thinking about most food. :/

let us know what your dose is.

the headaches are not uncommon- part of that is "detox" from eliminating sugar and starch from your diet. those usually go away within a week. again, if you didn't load well, you'll not feel good as early as someone who did.

are you taking any other medications or supplements? if so, it's very important to take them with your food, because that can make you extremely nauseous.

My dose is 1CC, I don't know how that translates to other units. I take a HBC and try to take a multivitamin and 5000mcg's of Biotin but I haven't bothered in the past couple of days since I've felt so ill. I'm used to getting sick since I have a really weak immune system, but I've done really well this year compared to others.

if a clinic mixed it for you, you might want to ask how many units/shot you're taking. 1 cc is the shot volume, but you want to know how much hcg is in each shot.

if you have muscle aching, you might want to try a potassium/magnesium supplement twice a day.

It sure sounds like the flu and not the hcg. Hope tomorrow is better!
