    Hi everyone. I am on Day 4 of VLCD. I had an apple for breakfast then was so busy the rest of the day, come home and had my first meal at 4. It is now 7:30ish and I'm not hungry. Is this going to hurt just eating one meal today, or should I eat my second meal even though it is so late? Today was my first day I wasn't incredibly hungry all day. I was hungry in the morning, hence the apple, but it got better as the day wore on. Suggestions please. I have so enjoyed this forum. It has helped me stay on track. It only took me an hour tonight to figure out how to join. :-)

    As late as it is, I'd forget the second meal for tonight but do try to eat more regularly tomorrow. Those who actually skip a whole meal don't lose as well usually. An occasional episode is no big deal but you do need your protein.

    Thanks Colleen. I really didn't plan on skipping a meal, just business and not planning very well. I know that right now it is a learning process, that is why I am trying to read as much as I can. I am dreading tomorrow with not feeling well, or at least not a lot of energy and have a busy day tomorrow. I just need to plan accordingly.

    I am feeling actually, pretty well. However, I am concerned and a little nervous that I won't feel well tomorrow because I didn't eat enough today. I get weak and have headaches when I don't eat enough, then I tend to eat whatever to help me feel better. I'm just concerned about this. I will probably eat lunch a little earlier then I normally do.

    there have been many days I wasn't hungry but I plan my lunches and take them with me so I take time everyday to relax and eat... Much easier than trying to find something while I'm out and making wrong choices... and I 'm saving $$ for all the new clothes I'll be needing!!!

    This is different from not eating in the old way, Liz. There are at least 2000 more calories circulating in your body and if the hcg is doing its job, you won't be hungry. You'll feel "up" and energetic and really good!

    I have low blood sugar issues so here's what I do. I eat half of an apple in the morning. Then I have lunch, meat and veggie. Then in the afternoon I eat the other half of the apple. Then when I get home I have my second meat and veggie. Then a couple of hours later I have half a grapefruit.

    This way you're eating throughout the day. If your especially hungry in the morning you could eat all of the apple then save your lunch veggie for a mid afternoon snack or have your second fruit then instead of in the evening.
