For clarity - the time between the VLCD portion of the diet is 6 weeks between round 1 and round 2. 3 weeks of P3 (re-introduce everything but sugar and starch - no breads, no crackers, no pasta, no rice, no grains at all) and then 3 weeks of P4 (eating whatever you want, within reason).
Some people try to cut out the P4 portion of the diet, and some of them are successful, but some aren't.
about the starches, are we suppose to stay away from starchy veggies too on P3? I read somewhere that they react like sugar in the body. so that would be potatoes and such.
Also heard that corn isnt a good idea on any diet, as well as it being a major allergen.
ahh I am loving this post! I have been reading everyone's comments and it totally keeps me motivated. It's so nice to hear that other people have the same questions and concerns as I do. I too am new to the HCG diet so I don't quite have all the lingo down but I am on my first round on ph2. I had my load days on Thanksgiving and the day after and as of today I have lost exactly 13 lbs! The thought of getting on the scale each morning is what motivates me to get up for work lol. I have been getting up before my alarm even goes off just because I can't wait to get on the scale. I had cravings and was hungry the first 3 days and then that all went away and food doesn't even appeal to me anymore. I am a newlywed (married June 09) so this is my first Christmas with my husband but last week he had to leave town for work unexpectedely and won't be home until Christmas eve. Even though I am sad that he is gone, I am excited for him to see me when he gets home because I was only 5 days into the diet when he left so I'm hoping to be 15-20lbs smaller on Christmas eve when I get to see him again. Anyways, I am rambling but I just wanted to say thanks for all the positive feedback. I love this diet!..... Jessica, Las Vegas, Nevada
