I'm very upset with myself with the way things have been going. I started with hCG october 29th. I lost 8 pounds in the first week. Immdiately after that I had some personal problems and had to deal with a lot of stress. I just let go of myself.. yet again. I still continued with hCG din't stick on to the diet. Although I did not put on any weight I wasn't losing any weight either bcoz of my diet. It's going to be a month for tomorrow and I've decided I want to start all over again strictly for a month. This time I'm positive I'll stick on to it. My question is, should I start all over again and go on till december 30th? Will I be able to lose the weight?
    I'm really confused!! :((
    Please help me!!

What kind of HCG are you using? If you are using the homeopathic, I would think it would be OK to continue on the 500 calorie program until the 30th.

The first question you must ask yourself is: Am I committed to helping myself achieve better health?

Remember, you will have lots of temptation during the holidays and you must remain strong.

Thanks for the quick response. I am not on homeopathic hCG. I use the regular injections of 150 daily units. I am very committed this time. Can I still continue? What are the consequences if I continue for more than 40 days?

The only consequence is your body may become immune to the HCG injections. If you mix it fresh every so often, it may be OK.

You can do it and see what happens. I believe you will be OK. Now, YOU have made a COMMITMENT to YOURSELF to do this program.

It is a good idea to get some chamomile tea to help with calming the body and mind, if you are under stressful situations.

    God bless you!

In order to keep from immunity, you can skip a day each week.

You may want to do the 23 days of injections and then 3 days of the 500 calories without injections, instead of doing a full 30 days.

Please keep us updated to your progress!

Hey look at the positive. YOU LOST 8 Pounds! for some of us any weight loss after years of yo-yo dieting is great. I too feel you will have too many temptations over the holidays, unless you can be really strict and it sounds like you are a little like me, reach for food for comfort when stressed. I've been able to stick with my diet this time, because I got my husband on board with me and he is sooo much more commited than I. I now have a competition with him to prove that I can do this. Tell someone close to you and have them keep you enthused and have to report to them. It really helps if someone holds you accountable, then you want to succeed. My husband and I do our weigh in together every morning and I hate to see when he loses and I don't! We plan on doing our 2 round from Nov 30th to Dec 20th, it's a short one, but we can enjoy Christmas with some sugar free desserts and some dinner. Also, on your injection amount. 150 did nothing for me. I upped it to 200iu and now I don't have the hunger issues. Try to up your dose to 175 first and see if it takes the hunger off. If it doesn't increase it to 200iu. If you aren't hungry, you will be less likely to cheat. If you do a short round, then you can get back on in January after 3 weeks and enjoy Christmas.
Since I've been on maintence, I've only had a 3 pound flucuation and got that off after a few days. I really tried to eat alot over thanksgiving and just couldn't, plus I got indigestion so bad, I couldn't sleep. The benefits of this diet after you stick with it - is that you don't want to go back to old eating habits. Good luck, you CAN DO THIS!! It's for you and your health!

freckles - I saw you posted to get back on the in January after 3 weeks. It is recommended by almost everyone here on the forum to take the 6 weeks off between rounds 1 and 2. The reason for this is the body has time to stabilize and maintain the weight. It also gives the body time to rest from the 500 calorie protocol.

We all are different and it is fun to share our ideas and results!

    Thanks for your support.
Yeah. I am happy that I lost 8 pounds but sad that had I continued I could've easily lost 20 pounds by now. Anyways, hunger is not the problem for me. I barely get hungry after taking the injections.. mostly hungry between 4-5 and then it's gone! Problem is with temptation and if I'm stressed my only happiness comes from food. Sad but true.
Freckles, you're lucky your husband is with you on this journey. My husband is thin and if gets on this then he'll disappear. Lol!
I'm going to get on the wagon tomorrow and I've decided I won't budge for a month. I have a big vacation in january and I've already shopped for smaller clothes. So this is it.. there's no looking back. Pls wish me luck guys. Thanks again txnfootlady and freckles for your support. xx

I think you should go only to day 40, do P3 and P4 and start over after you've done that. Stick to the protocol.
