Yes, I definitely lost slower on my second round, but I did have a little surgery in the middle of it all. I must admit I was much hungrier on my second round as well. The hunger never went away, but I did pretty well even with those hold backs. Lost about #15 in 30 days in spite of everything. The inch loss is what makes me soooooo HAPPY!!!!!! Down from a size 20 jean to a size 12.

    20 to 12 with 15 lbs???

ditto on the 20 to 12 with 15lbs. I usually go down or up a size every 20lbs or so.

spydrmonkey - how much do you have to lose? That could be a factor in the slower losses this time. Great to hear that you didn't have issues gaining back for a year. Very encouraging.

I have about 25-30 to lose. I hadn't thought about that. and I was same about 20 lbs per size.

Yes it was so nice to not have any issues keeping it off. That was my fear with doing this diet. But it was no issue at all for me to maintain. :o) Is this your first time? How far along into it are you?

for those of you who ate a lot of carbs before doing the hcg protocol, you lose massive amounts of water weight when you first cut that stuff out. generally people don't add that many carbs (at least bad ones) before their next round, so that explains losing a bit less.

when i started the hcg i had already cut the carbs- and lost 13# in 3 weeks WITHOUT hcg- so i didn't have the big losses that some people see in their first round- and have lost just about the same per day on all my rounds.

Ah - that bit about the carbs makes sense, mgson! Also the closer you get to goal the slower it is. I had very low losses my last round, because I thought I would try the 42 day followed by a 3 week p3 break then right into another (23 day) round. That seemed to NOT work for me as I barely squeaked off 10 lbs in the 23 days and am struggling to stabilize now (p3 d8 and 7.4 lbs over ldw). and YES today was a steak day....as was 2 days ago! I am backing off eggs & cheese now and starting over...sadly. But I still have hope!

yeah, if you did a long round then the 3 wk break was too short.
