We don't have either readily available over here in the UK but splenda and candarel. I use candarel and it's okay but think I need to investigate a bit more.
Well im on day 13 in P2 and i have lost 11.5 pounds. I just started using Truvia these last 3 days and i have lost 2.5 each day for the last two days. I also cut out my fruits because i didnt know how the truvia was going to affect my body! But it seems like i lost more when i cut my fruits and added truvia! So far so good!
I bought a brand of Stevia through HerbalAdvantage.com that was bred for sweetness without the bitter taste. They sell a very concentrated form. 1/4 tsp. is supposed to equal 1 cup of sugar. Personally it doesn't seem quite that sweet to me. I mix mine with a hypo-aller-C powder sold at the health food store in bulk. (contains potasium, calcium, and I think magnesium) It fizzes like those emergenc-C drinks. You need to cut it with something for ease of use. It's been a life saver.
Wow, good info dieter217. I will have to look for the hypo-aller-C powder and the other brand of stevia. I like the emergency drinks, but they have fructose in them (or another sugar, I forget which one). I've missed having them on P2 and P3. Miss my vitamin C!
KAL pure stevia is available at www.vitanet.com much cheaper than health food stores. I've used it for years and it tastes better than any other I have tied. This is a powder in a bottle with a tiny spoon. they have packets, too, but they have maltodextrin (sugar)
DaniDoll99, it's really gonna be a trial & error to see how it affects you. I hate Stevia but love Truvia. I have and do use it in all of my 3 rounds and I will continue to when I am done. You will just need to experiment for a few days to make sure it doesn't stall you.
