    jphanton00,

Colleen and I talked about the 40 injectons vs. 40 days.

You said you will be taking 29 injections. Colleen and I (as well as others) believe Dr. Simeon meant 40 injectons, not days. He never talked about days. He always said injections.

Thats one of the reasons why he said to skip a day, so that we could take the HCG longer and lose more weight before we had completed 40 injections total.

So in a long round, there are 40 injections over about 45 days if you skip a day (not counting TOM cause I dont skip during that).

    Just something to consider.

Ok that's kind of what I thought after posting that and rereading Pounds and Inches. So you guys don't stop during menstration?

I went from 157.2 on my first weigh in to 161.2 after just 1 load day. That's insane!

Ok so I started out with the 125 IU like Dr. Simeon's book said to do. No more, no less. I was hungry and shaky. Not the hypoglycemic kind but it felt like I was starving myself. I had cravings for food. Namely the food I had gorged myself on while I was loading. The last straw was Friday when I was so weak getting out of bed I could barely take a shower. I made it to work and I broke. I started eating anything I could get my hands on. I felt guilty of course, but I had only lost 1.6 lbs from my beginning weight in 5 days and that includes what I gained and lost during and after loading. So Saturday I got back on the wagon only this time I increased my hCG to the 200 IU that everyone else is on. No hunger, no shakiness, I had energy. I still haven't lost what I gained during my cheat day but I hopefully will today. I have followed the diet to the letter so we shall see. I've been strict about the beauty products too as well as the water/tea intake. Not sure why I'm not losing that much per day but now that I've increased the hCG we'll see what happens over the next few days.

J- you need to relax a bit. It is good that you upped your dose. I gained 6 lbs during my load the fisrt round, and lost 27 ibls toatl in 26 days. the first day is always hard, let it work in you and you will see that it will come off. It is probalbly your body holding on to water and adjusting. My advice is up you water intake, stick to the regimen, and realize that this is your chance to do it, change your whole body and mind. for me, it took so long to get here, now that I have lost the weight I realize that this is not about the weightloss, numbers etc, the true gift is the resetting of your mind. Hang in there and you will see.

I think my issue was the dosage. I felt like crap on the 125 IU. I mean like I slept 10 hours one night and didn't have any energy to even sit on my butt at work and do nothing. That was an odd feeling. I did take your advice though and am increasing my water/tea intake to 2.5 liters. I am staying with the 200 IU as its working a LOT better since I started that on Saturday. I am trying to not get discouraged with the slow weight loss because like you said it takes time for my body to adjust. I just feel like I wasted a week on the wrong dosage and that kind of upsets me. Trial and error though. LOL. I'll be happy with 20 lbs at this point but I won't lose anything if I don't stick with it. Thank you so much for the words of encouragement!

    jphanton00,

Dont be discouraged. Its over and done.

You now have the rest of your life to get in better shape. You are commited and you found a dose that is working. The weight may seem to be coming off slow, but you cant see what is going on inside. Dr. S. said that when we release fat, those cells often fill with water temporarily and then release it in time. Water weighs more than fat. It WILL come off.

Just hang in there. Stick to your commitment. Remember that from now on, each day you are one day closer to a healthier thinner you. It may take a little longer than you would like, but you will get there.
