According to Linda Prinster's book these are the allowable vinegars. Apple cider, cider, distilled ,garlic wine, Italian herb, malt, red wine organic, rice, tarragon, white distilled
She also lists these with a caution that they stall some people: balsamic, brown rice, champagne, golden balsamic, rice seasoned, and white wine.
Incidently...wasabi it allowed...it was mentioned right there so I thought I'd share.
So what do you look for when selecting a vinegar? I was looking at the red wine vinegar and balsalmic and it seems i remember I didn't get it because it had sugar.
