Shiloh- You are so wonderful for updating all of us, as you know we all care very much and are worried. I'm sure you are nervous, so please only update us if it helps you. Otherwise just know your family is in all of our thoughts and prayers.
I'm so glad they are there getting this looked into!!! I have recently had two friends in similar situations, whose children needed urgent medical attention. Both had that "feeling" something was wrong, and they were right.
Anything over two weeks is definitely not viral in my book.
I'm praying for your family. Please keep us posted.
Shiloh, Your little brother will be in my prayers. I have an 11 yr old little boy and a 9 yr old little girl and it is so scary when they are sick, especially if you don't know why...I really hope all is well soon!
My brother in law had this exact thing going on and the found that he had a severe stomach hernia. Not sure if you can get those at 12 years old. I really hope he is okay and they figure out what is going on!
the x-ray results were not difinitive (sp?) they dont 'think' it is a cancer mass, but it seems unusual. he goes back tomorrow for more test. he has to see a specialist. i forget what kind. they are going to test his gi track with die and see if it is in there or outside. if its in, they are going to clear out his intestines and see if it still shows up. if it isnt in the gi tract, they need to find out what it is and maybe remove it. or remove it if its in the tract. sorry, i dont think i am making sense.
the doctor still wants blood work, and says that she doesnt know for sure if the vomiting has anything to do with the mass. so, yeah, he might have two things wrong.
thanks for the prayers. mom is with him and trying to see that he eats and just relaxes. i dont mind updating. mom says you guys are great people and i can see that she is right. its nice to know that you are all there for her.
