Only because I feel like I need someone to answer to and that's all ya'll!
Last night, we left to come to the city for Valentine's Day. I minded my manners ALL DAY! We went to a movie, he got popcorn, I got M&M's (habit) and put them in his pocket. He ate them, not me. I finally realized into the movie that I hadn't had my dinner and I started feeling the hunger pains. I drank all my water that I pack around in the diaper bag, and found a bag of dehydrated apples I had in there for the kids. I realize it's not perfect but ---- It was an apple!!! So I ate that and felt really good about myself.
Today was my day off. (Yes, when I bought my HCG, the gal I'm getting it from has done it FOREVER, and she suggested that I inject 6 days and take 1 off.) Sooooo.... I decided on my own that my day off the HCG would also be my day off the diet. Go ahead and call me crazy or stupid or cheater or whatever, but I'm going to just try it and see what happens. I know myself well enough to know that with anything (herbal, perscription, OTC) it works for a few doses then my body is immune to it and it doesn't do a thing. I had a doctor tell me I was prone to alcoholism because of the same thing if I wasn't careful, because I would be able to drink like a fish and it wouldnt' affect me.
Anyway, this morning I had breakfast (pancake, syrup, plain scrambled egg, 1 small sausage) OMG it was heaven! For lunch I had my plain salad with chicken breast. I had 1/4 of a plain Hershey's bar. (Better than ... Yeah!) And tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse for a steak, mashed potatos, and a roll.
I don't have my scale out here with me, but I will take my shot again in the morning, and weigh myself Tuesday morning when I get back to the scale. I guess call it a mistake or an experiment but I actually feel really great today and my pants are falling off my body. I guess the scale will tell all though!

that will not work : (. When you go to the next phase of hcg, you have to stop the hcg for 72 hours before you can start adding back fats. hcg is VERY sensitive to fats. You will gain. And you will delay any further loss by approx 3 days..I wish you had asked or looked up this info before doing this..Maybe you will get lucky, but there is a reason the transition from phase 2 to phase 3 takes 72 hours..Crossing my fingers for you. By the way, you only become immune to hcg if you take it more than 40 days and do not take the prescribed 6 weeks between rounds.

Just a quick update. My cheating was sooo not worth it. I mean, it was, but it wasn't. I loved celebrating Valentine's with my sweetie. I didn't gain, but main did I stall. Instead of losing 3-4 pounds in 3 days like I had been last week, I stalled and lost .2. :( I've always been the type I have to learn these things myself. Sorry girls. Doesn't matter how much you warn me, I'm gonna do stupid things and figure it out on my own.
BUT, I did measure and I've lost 8 inches total in the last week so that's awesome! However, 6 of that was off my stomach, and ZILCH! NADA! NOTHING off my hips and thighs. Now how the heck does that happen?!?!

Actually I'm finding that it isn't as "sensitive" as Dr. S made it out to be and as people here make it out to be. I have good fats every day. I continue to lose. I eat fats on my week of P3 break. I still lose. My body is steadily getting ready for the day when I am on P4 and I am really excited about it.

Everyone is different and yes we need to stay as close to protocol as possible but we all need to listen to our bodies.

You tried something and you learned it didn't work for you. Good for you! You'll know when you go on P4 what your limitations are and the only way you are going to learn is to try it yourself. Not everyone is a sheep, who follows the leader because they are the leader (thank goodness!). Some of us are actually intelligent and can make choices for ourselves.

I think it's wonderful that you tried this and I'm pushing good thoughts your way to keep trying.

    Jenni,
Thanks so much! I needed that. :) Thanks for the positive vibes. I do think there's got to be a happy medium somewhere. This is doing a number on my blood sugar, but when I broke down and had that pancake with maple syrup, my blood glucose level was through the roof! I was shaky all day. I don't think it's good for me to run that low for so long.
What are you eating for "good fats?" If you don't mind me asking. How much have you lost total? Thanks again for the vote of confidence! I don't like being treated like I'm stupid just because I want to try something different.

Your body isn't sensitive to fats in P3.We can have all the fats we want in P3. But most cannot have fats in P2. If I have even a little off protocol, I stall or go up. Many of us have to try it for ourself though. I wish I could go a bit off protocol but it doesn't work for me, nor for most, really. I've been on this forum for a year and the majority just can't go off protocol without paying a price. :-(

Thanks Colleen. I agree, I think there's a standard. I do believe; however, that some of us are different. It's just knowing which category you fall into, that's why we test the limits I guess! :)
Didn't I read somewhere that you are an author?!

Yes I kill people for a living. LOL I write romantic mysteries.

It might work for you! All you can do is try it but if you stall out or gain, you'll know what you have to do. :-( I wish I could have avocados and cheese on P2 but I can't lose at all if I don't follow the protocol, doggone it.

Lol I really don't miss anything but chocolate. That's my ONLY downfall! I've never been much for sweets at all, and I hate greasy or salty stuff. Fast food restaurants make me sick for a week. Chips make me retain water. I have no REALLY BAD vices but M&M's. :)
Woohoo! So you write those kind that are kept up on the top shelf back in the back room...? lol KIDDING! That's great! I love books and I think authors are amazing for being so creative! :)

Is this your first round? I found my desire for chocolate went way down after my 2nd round!

Oh and my books are clean--no graphic sex or bad language. So they can be on the living room shelf! LOL
