Wow, thank you everyone! I am doing this by myself and kind of figuring it out as I go. So, I guess I should go the total 40 days....do you think 16 pounds in 33 days is good? I am a little discouraged.

Mpruitte- I did not buy a "kit". I bought my supplies separately. I am ending my 2nd round and have been on this forum for 6 months now. I can assure you that the minimum is 23 injections as stated by Dr. S's original protocol, but you can definately stop anytime after that up to 40 injections. Many, many people have different lengths of rounds that best suite their life and what is going on and do just fine. Yes, there are pre-packaged kits that only come in 23 or 40 days, but those # of days are not the only options.
    Sorry if this is confusing....

Mpruitte- I was also going to tell you that if you look under the thread "Questions-let's try to keep this thread for questions and answers", on the first page about halfway down mgsondance "Margie" explains it better than I can about the differing lengths of rounds. She is the "Queen" of this forum, or so to speak. I think the post was from Oct 4th. So sorry to post this on this thread, didn't mean to hijack it, just didn't want to start a whole new thread.
Good luck to you in your round. I hope everything goes well for you.

mpruitte - not all of us buy packages, in either case you can stop anytime after the 23 days but you can't go over the 40 injections. It sounds like you get the 5000iu vial of hcg which means that there is enough for 25 doses of 200iu each. You can stop at 23 or go to 25.

On the kits it really depends on which you get. If you wanted to do a 40 day round you may buy 2 bottles of the 5000iu which would give you 50 injections of 200iu or you might buy 4 bottles of the 2000iu which would give you 40 injections of 200iu.

I personally buy my stuff seperately and buy the 2000iu hcg so that I can mix every 10 days.

semaj and Linda Lou are correct.

Many people sell the kits for the 23 or 40 because they are the most common, but no way are they absolute (except the 23 minimum THATS an absolute!)

I am really happy to see the information on how many days to go on the rounds. I got my hcg through a friend and she did not have much information. I am considering doing 34 days as I have my daughters wedding out of state and I think it would be very hard to continue the injections and VLCD while traveling..... seems like it will be much easier to do P3, any suggestions for help? Thanks much!

Sounds good. Many of us adjust our rounds to accomadate various events. Just make sure to allow for the 72 hours of continued VLCD after your last dose of HCG. THEN P3 starts.

Since you dont have much info you said, here is a link to the protocol if you havent read it. Please read it several times. It will help you so much to fully understand the protocol. Also, use the search tab and type in newcomer and you will find lots of info there too

Thank you caidan.ice for the information. I did and still do read P&I and it helps keep me on track. As a matter of fact, my hubby who is VERY skeptical of any diets read it and said it makes perfectly good sense to him and then he actually encouraged me to do the hcg! Boy was I surprised. My biggest goal with hcg is to get enough weight off that I can control my diabetes with diet and exercise instead of insulin. I got a little freaked out today reading about some who are saying that P3 is harder than P2. But after reading your post about introducing the foods VERY slowly, I am much more confident that I can do it. Thanks again for your input and help. :-)

So good to hear that your hubby is supportive. Very important and so good for you.

Yes P3 can seem daunting, but so glad you understand about taking it slow. We have the rest of our (thin) lives to eat other foods once we get there.
