Hey I am a newbie. Started Monday Feb 22 - Monday and Tuesday I ate ALOT. Then started vlcd Wednesday. Looked through the threads and found info on Potassium. I take that with a multivitamin every day. Here's my question: Is anyone else experiencing charlie horses in their calves in the middle of the night? The last two nights I have actually woken up they are SO bad. But it is only once and then I'm fine...weird....
You should be taking magnesium/potassium. They work together and it's important that you take them together. Once you've gotten that you can up your dose a little. I take it twice a day to help with the muscles spasms at night.
you can buy a combo mag and pot together. That way you are only taking one capsule :) I ususally buy the 99mg capsules so i can take as needed. You shouldn't really need more than the 99mg but if you find you are crampting more you can take another before bed.
