I just got Linda Printzer's HCG book and she lists cocoa powder (unsweetened) as an allowable spice in all phases. I'm in P2 now and I guess I'll be tempting fate by trying 1 Tbsp Hershey's Dark powder. I've been drinking a cocoa tea with cocoa powder in it all along and it has not hindered my weight loss. I'll be posting in the morning if my weight jumps!

I got the cocopure, it is good, tastes like cocoa powder w/sweetener. I just wish there were recipes for it other than to drink!

Hi, Just saw this post and I was going to look up Coco Pure to make sure its ok on Phase 2. I just got mine in the mail and am drinking it as we speak. It is delicious if u are craving chocolate. Wish I had found this on my TOM would of gotten thorugh that a lot easier! Much better than any of the teas I have gotten. And I have ordered some pretty expensive ones online. I really like it I just hope it will be ok.. I guess Ill see tomorrow. I plan on having another cup tonight :} Just thought Id share!

I'm not recommending it for P2 or anything, but FYI...Hershey's extra dark cocoa powder also has 10 calories per Tb and only 3 carbs, 2 of which are fiber, so one net carb. Fat is listed at 0.5g. Much cheaper than that Cocopure and available in most supermarkets. It has no added sugar or starch, just what's naturally in the cocoa. -

But the cocopure has way more polyphenols, along with green tea extract and resveratrol. Its probably not cheaper, but certainly handy and tasty. I order it when there's a special; like buy 2, get 1 free to make the cost be acceptable.
I just had some dry -- cause I spilled a little while putting it into my larger container of water. Ohhhh - its like 100% chocolate heaven in your mouth!
