What other fruit did you have? A handful of cherry tomatoes is considered 1 serving of fruit

But you're not supposed to mix veggies so if you had cherry tomatoes AND broccoli, you might pay for it. :-(

For those who are on vlcd...are you counting calories or eating the
portioned meat, piece of fruit and unlimited veggies?

I start r1p2vlcd1 tomorrow and wanted to get a consensus.

Wow, well I will continue with what I have been doing for this phase then try other things next time.

Caressa-I bought a digital food scale, or you can get a letter scale for a post office, and weighed my meat to 100 grams. I pre packaged all my meat, labeled and froze it. It makes it so much easier.

I plan on weighing and prepackaging my meat and freezing it before I start the VLCD also! I wanted to make my life as easy as possible.

As for tomatoes, it's considered a veggie under the pounds and inches book but I've seen where some people will eat one as a fruit instead and then have a green salad as their veggie. I plan on just using it as my veggie since tomatoes are my favorite!! I hope to God they don't make me stall. Same goes for onions! If I couldn't eat tomatoes or onions, then I would have a mighty hard time on this diet!

Got another question..last night I bought melba toast at whole foods and it said a serving was 5 toasts at 60 calories but P&I says to have one melba toast..so am I to have 1 toast and just count it as 12 calories or what? I may not even eat the melba but if I do then I don't want to be overdoing it!

Right, I knew to measure out the meats. I have a digital food scale for that.
Just wasn't sure if the veggies were unlimited or if everyone is measuring
and counting calories for those as well to make sure you don't exceed 500 cals.
