ok...so im going into p3 in a few days and scared to death of it LOL.....im hoping some of the ppl that have already 'been there and done that' could give me a typical menu for someone starting out. like whats best to add first, how much, how often a day to eat etc....
also, beef caused me to stall or gain later in p2. is that something that needs to be added back in slowly?
It's hard to tell someone what to eat without knowing what kinds of things they like.
You should only add back foods that are known allergens like dairy, nuts, soy, one at a time. If you do okay on one then add another after a couple of days.
I like eggs, cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, fatty steaks, pork rinds, salads, homemade blue cheese dressing, veggies in my scrambled eggs, real butter, whole cream in my coffee..... so that's the kind of stuff I eat.
The main and most important thing besides adding the above mentioned foods in slowly is to completely get the diet mentality out of your mind and get in plenty of protein. No not worry about calories.
The stall with beef in P2 could have been due to it's fat content.
n it wasnt hard to tell someone what to eat on P2 LOL.........whether they like it our not, if theyre as determined as me to lose the wt, they'll eat it anyway ;)
so lets say i have eggs for breakfast. can i have sausage? and for lunch..........a typical p2 chicken/salad combo with more chicken? can i have dressing? dinner.....a piece of baked 'bone in' chicken with the skin? corn on the cob? ugh....sooo much i dont know LOL
You can have eggs and bacon or sausage for breakfast (check to find no sugar) or Greek yogurt with blueberries. That's what I have quite often, the yogurt. I add almond slivers but you need to check for almonds. Lunch I often have a very large grilled chicken breast topped with cheese, sour cream and avocado. Some kind of veggie. A grapefruit. For dinner I'll have steak and salad or cauliflower pizza. Maybe spaghetti made with miracle noodles. A crustless quiche is good once you know eggs are all right. But you need to add eggs on one day, cheese on another day, nuts on another day, etc.
You can have anything except added sugars and starches, that includes starchy veggies like corn and potatos and real sweet fruit like banana. Starches include beans, breads, rice, and pastas. There is no limit on how much you can eat. Yes you can have dressing but like everything you need to check the labels. That's why I make my own blue cheese salad dressing.
yes you can have sausage, check the label for sugar.

For the following 3 weeks, all foods allowed except starch and sugar in any form (careful with very sweet fruit). After 3 weeks, very gradually add starch in small quantities, always controlled by morning weighing.
