    grammy, we're thinking I have protein deficiency or something... I'd have to find the other thread and quote from it. I'm gaining, but I haven't even been eating a third of what I should... I don't know if I should try a steak day or just eat more.

    I had the same problem and I did a steak day and gained weight!! So I ate a lot the next day and lost! I had to do another steak day yesterday and I lost back down to my LIW so you should probably try a high protein day. How many days have you been above your LIW? You are supposed to only do a steak day on the first day the scale registers the gain or it doesnt work.

    Hey you! ;) since you don't know for sure if this is the first day you are over, I would do a high protein, nothing else, day. You know it worked for me! Good Luck!!!

    Ugh this is driving me crazy. I think I'll do the rest of today and tomorrow ALL protein (cooked in butter of course) and twice the water I've been drinking and see what happens. I'm hoping I can fix this! It took me way too long to lose those 4 pounds, now to gain them back, it's making me sick.

    I read somewhere that steak days only work when you ate a lot of calories the day before. Is that true? Today was my steak day and I'm hoping for some good results. *crossing my fingers*

    it is my belief that steak days mostly serve to decrease water retention. and when someone gains a lot in one day, that's usually the cause. some people lose more than others, but you don't have to only do them after eating a lot the previous day.

    And actually they work really well when you've had protein deficiency. For me, they haven't made me lose water. When I've dropped back down after one, I've never regained the weight but they work almost like magic for me. But not everyone has that experience. It's annoying when you only lose .8. I generally lose 3 pounds.
