Just a quick question regarding the length of P3....If I need to do multiple rounds (possibly 3 or 4..ugh..)to get to my goal, is there any way I can shorten the length of P3?? Like say maybe only do 2 weeks or 2.5 weeks in between starting another round of P2??? I feel like I just don't want to have to wait that long again b4 starting to lose the weight again??? Any thoughts?? Anyone tried this???
ummmm! I dont wanna get in trouble because the Veterans will tell you what is best for you.
But, Some do 3 weeks of p3 and go back to P2.. but never as short as 2weeks.. It is called Cycling. How much do you have too lose? and where are you in your VLCD.
Ideally I want to lose another 75-95lbs, but that would actually put me on the low side for my height (I'm 5'10'')...boy that depressing to write!!!...anyway, right now I am on R1P2VLCD20 & down 26.2 lbs...pretty happy about that, but I feel like I may need to eat some different food coming up here pretty soon....I am shooting for 40lbs in at least the 40 days, but who knows if that is possible...was just kinda hoping that I could shorten the length of p3...shoot!!! Do you know what would happen if I did???
BTW Hashi, I have followed your progress on "Just Results", & you are doing amazing (as so many others are too), but yours just stuck out to me!!! Great job!!
I'm on hhcg and plan on going back to p2 after this 3-week p3. I have more than you to lose (I'm 5') and understand the desire to get it off FAST. But, don't let this diet mess with your brain. THIS.IS.FAST!! It would have taken me six months of ups and downs and tons of hard work and setbacks to lose the 20 I did in r1p2. After the two rounds close together, I think I will do the 6 weeks between to set my weight and test the p4 waters. I don't want to lose too rapidly and have super saggy skin.
Any downside to doing P3 for longer than 3 weeks? I will be starting my next round about the 11th of July and was thinking of 5 or 6 weeks of P3. Any input?
chl- as long as you do 23 days of hcg, you can take an interruption- so you do your last 3 vlcd's without hcg, then move on to P3-type eating. the interruption can be as short or long as you like, but if longer than 2 wks you have to load again.
so a number of people do 23 days of hcg, then 3 wks of P3, then another 23 days (even though technically you're only supposed to finish your original round, so 17 days the 2nd time). it's only a few more days, so i think it's fine. but after that you really should take 6 wks off. your body needs time to adjust.
if decide to do the full 40 days, then you also need to take the 6-wk break. some people take less, but the jury is still out in terms of how that affects long-term stabilization.
