Twinma....here is the way I look at it. If I left off every food product somebody had something negative to say about, I would be eating lettuce, vinegar and a chicken breast every day for every meal and technically, since we are not supposed to repeat, that would be wrong as well....lol.
Everybody's body reacts differently...much like you, it seems just as soon as I see something I that I can do to help put some variety in the diet that is a good working substitute, somebody else comes along and says "that makes me stall." I see many people say we are going to have the occasional stall...and I can't help but think that many items are crossed off the list by people whose body was going to go through that stall anyway.
That being said, if I have to make an exception, "chemically", with the SweetLeaf Stevia, that didn't make my weight loss stall so that I can bring some variety to my diet and make it more enjoyable, I'll take my chances. :D Compared to the crap I used to put into my body, I feel like I am still way ahead of the game...although i personally haven't read anything bad about the Sweetleaf brand Stevia...
Actually we can repeat foods, we just can't eat two of the same thing at the same time :)
I totally agree about the sweetleaf. I use splenda, and I'm thrilled I can use it. You know when people talk about chemicals etc. I always crack up. How was penicillan made years ago? heck, I inject lizard spit to keep my blood sugar even .
And like you said compared to the junk I used to eat.
