hCG Diet Recipe for Phase 2:  Tasty Garlic Basil Marinara Sauce

  • 4 large tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp chopped basil (fresh is best)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon onion (chopped fine)
  • 2 clove of garlic minced
  • 6 oz. of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and cayenne pepper to taste
  • Pepper if desired

To make this recipe:

Using a food processor (or specialty blender if you prefer) puree tomatoes to desired smooth consistency.
Pour puree into a saucepan, adding broth, tomato paste, garlic, basil, oregano and onion.
Cook slowly for approximately 45 minutes stirring often.  Add salt and cayenne pepper
during simmer to taste.
To achieve desired consistency, add additional water to sauce mixture while cooking.
