  • HCG Weight Loss Maintenance Programs: After the Hcg Diet Plan

In 2002, I lost 88 lbs with the Hcg Diet, and another 45 lbs of baby weight in 2017 with Nu Image and Diet Doc. I kept the weight off, and transformed my life leading me to start the first Hcg Diet site: Hcgdietinfo.com. 10+ years later, 100 million visits, 2 million pages, countless lives changes… this has become the highlight of my Hcg Diet Journey. Welcome!

Hcg Weight Loss Maintenance Programs – What to Eat AFTER the Hcg Diet Plan

Recommendations for Hcg weight loss maintenance programs (Phase 4.)

The beginning of my maintenance phase (P4) was like most of those that email me.  I was… scared.   I was scared that I would add the wrong thing to my grocery cart, and would end up gaining the 90 pounds back, that I had worked so hard to lose.

The one thing that helped me significantly, was establishing my own plan… my very own Hcg weight loss Maintenance program… which was basically just keeping as close to the original Hcg Diet protocol as possible.

Was this easy?  Yes, and no.  It was easy, in the fact that I had become familiar and lived with the protocol for a good portion of the previous year.  However, what really helped, was committing myself to weight loss maintenance programs.  At the time, I used Medifast.  Friends of mine had used this because it helped keep their naturally slim figures easily.  For me, it was an extension of the Hcg Diet Plan and a convenient option to stay on track with portion control etc.

That was in 2002 however, and I have learned much in that time.  In fact, it wasn’t long before I learned that eating “clean” and avoiding processed foods, most grains, and refined sugars resulted in maintaining my weight over the years. The truth is, the Hcg Diet weight loss program had weeded my habits and cravings for these foods anyway, and it wasn’t long before I found my fridge full of foods that I never thought I’d be eating on a daily basis;  organic vegetables and fruits, including piles of kale and spinach- coconut water, terra chips, omega supplements, etc.  (The majority of the foods in my fridge were still on the Phase 2 Hcg Diet Foods List.) Better yet, I also learned to make these things into amazing dishes that tasted like I as eating in a fine dining restaurant.  (Eating healthy, really can be delicious, I promise!)

For those of you who prefer actual post Hcg weight loss maintenance programs however… I understand your reasoning and the fact is, having a “plan” is essential and can make things incredibly easy when transitioning from Hcg Diet weight loss programs to the real world… Here are a few programs that I personally recommend.

Whole 30 After the Hcg Diet:  My preferred Hcg Weight Loss Maintenance Programs.

This program is actually a series of books (Whole 30 Books on Amazon), and a dietary approach based on eating “whole” foods.  This means, no chemicals, no preservatives, no prepackaged or processed foods whatsoever.  The idea behind the book, is to weed out all of these foods and create a 30 day stretch of living in the Whole 30 state of mind (and body.)  I have come to stick to this approach as much as possible and find it is surprisingly easy.

Hcg Weight Loss Maintenance Programs:  Online Chefs and Meal Delivery

OMG these programs are a gift from heaven on those days when I REALLY want some healthy and delicious for my family, but I just don’t feel like cooking.  These programs offer the same delicious meals one would get at a nice restaurant, but without the high price tag of eating out.  They are also incredibly convenient, since you can order them online, and simply keep them in your fridge or freezer for those times when you want a convenient, healthy meal.

Here are a few healthy meal delivery programs that I have used and love:

Hcg Weight Loss Maintenance Program: Bistro MD Balance

    • BistroMD Balance – healthy, whole meals.  You can choose a meal program through them, that is right for you. Some of the options they offer are…. vegetarian, gluten free, low carb, heart healthy, etc.  My favorite dish from BistroMD is the orange glazed salmon, which is sooooo healthy with around 320 calories (a little on the low side for a full meal which allows you to add an additional side, snack, or after dinner treat) and a whopping 28 grams of protein!  (By the way, when I make this at home, it is actually more expensive.)
    • Personal Chef to Go – Fully prepared, ready-to-eat meals and entrée salads are prepared by chefs, using locally sourced vegetables, and hand-trimmed meats.

I’m also a fan of these Hcg weight loss maintenance programs when it comes to exercise:

I truly believe exercise is essential to keeping the weight off and living healthy.

My best advice for maintaining the weight loss after the Hcg Diet, is to have a plan.  Decide on that plan while you are on the diet and keep it simple.  For me, that was sticking as close to the foods list as possible, and implementing an exercise plan that was fun to do-  not a chore.  No matter which post-Hcg weight loss program you choose, I think it is important to choose something that comes with little pressure, and that makes you feel good overall.
