Sorry sweetie...get it under control. Some of us cave knowing we are headed for a new round, but that just gives us more to lose.

Sounds like you and your sister are enabling each other. Maybe You should try to talk that out and create a better pattern for good health! Hard to believe what she ate for lunch....good luck!

Hey em it's good to see that you're back on board! I hope those last 20 come off and stay off for you. I keep going back and forth trying to decide if I wan't to lose another 5, but as I was coming to a decision I dropped back closer to my ldw, and now I kinda wanna stick it out.

So glad u come around to keep us posted. good to see old friends doing well! keep it up!

Wow sounds like you are doing well. I just found your blog. I feel like I should say that the dukan diet is something I researched too but because protein without any carbs causes cortisol spikes over time and this can burn out the adrenals, I decided against it. Anyway I have had my own battle with adrenals and it can really play havoc with weight and health over time. I just wanted to let you know.

Thanks Faithful! Also, I'm starting to come to terms with the fact that stabilizing isn't going to be some quick process....After losing almost 100 lb's under Dukan's method that would take like a year to stabilize. With Dr. S, I should be waiting a few months before starting another round. So that sort of puts it in perspective.

Sounds like your maintenance is going super! It is reassuring to hear that it is possible to have "food freedom" and "be satisfied"... so encouraging - Thank you for that!
As for the one pound above LDW, that is sooo miniscule. If your body has found a weight that is easy to maintain, I say go for it without hesitation, after all it is only a number. Glad to hear you are doing so well.

Hey guys, it really is a lot of observation. I actually think i'm getting a little better stabilization wise, but I still really wan't to lose those last few. After the eggs and stuff i was only up 0.4 which is really good.

hey girl good to hear from ya! This can (and does) happen to about everyone. You caught it eary which is the point and you know you need to get back. It isnt out of your hand. I would try and get it off without hcg first, but thats just me. good luck with what you do !

I am happy to see you blogging. It is really nice seeing you coming back with an update. Getting to goal and going off hcg seems to be the beginning of vigilance on diet and the scale. It really is going to be a lot of observation as to what works and correction days . . . I can live with that . . . it is a solution to keep things in check.

It sucks that the weight always seems to come back in the stomach first and it is the last place that it leaves. Hang in there . . . You did and are still doing awesome. I look forward to seeing what you final decision is on whether to do another round or just correct it away.

I do all protein days on all phases maybe once a week, and add a second one w an added lettuce only salad w lemon if I am pushing losses. It works great!

I't possible that I ate too many calories on day one...and at one time, and caused me to be backed up. The first day I had bacon and eggs and guacamole for breakfast, a full pound steak (I went back for second) with more guacamole, and a salad with homemade vinagrette that had a lot of EVOO in it which is very high in calories I found out. The next day was a FFF day, but I had some bites of steak which may have messed me up, so I didn't loose. The next day was a fat fast day with 5 servings of macadamia nuts, but I ended up gaining 0.2. So yesterday I did another FFF day, and finally was down a pound.

Hi, I'm on day 1 of P3. I'm curious, what made you gain so soon? What's been your meals for the last 5 days?
  13. captncrunch's Avatar
I'm planning on doing weekly steak days just to help maintain and try fasting once I stabilize better.

Hey...I have been reading a lot about intermittent fasting lately. I was thinking it could be a good way to maintain the wt loss and give my body a rest. I used to fast regularly when I was younger, at home with the kiddies. Sometime 3 days at a time. I found if I ignored the hunger, it would go away after 10 minutes. Are you planning on giving it a go?

Thanks! I actually never lose as much on a steak day as on a FFF day, usually only a pound or so, and sometimes I get backed up, lol...That was the first time ever a fage day failed me

Yes, I agree. I thought you still had HCG in you. Have a great Sunday!

There are different ideas about it, but for the most part it seems that because of the hcg mobilizing fat our bodies are actually getting between 1500-2400 or so calories per day depending on how much you lose (3500 calories/pound). Once there is no more hcg in your system eating only 800 or so calories will put your body into starvation mode, so to help reset your metabolism we should be jumping up to at least 1500 calories/day and suggested that was the reason some people gain, because of not eating enough calories....Grammy posted something about that, so I figured I would try it this time around.

I thought we are supposed to increase by 200 daily until we reach 1500-1600 and see if we maintain the loss and adjust from there. But you are at goal so not sure. Will be interested to see how you do tomorrow. There must be something in the stars! We are all HUNGRY this wk!
