I'm just taking it phase by phase for now. I do have a goal weight in mind- however, as I get closer to it- I may adjust it (accept a higher weight). My main concern is dropping the excess this P2 and then just as important maintaining in P3/4. I have difficulty in P3/4.. I seem to gain 5-6 pounds and then struggle to maintain that. If I can't stabilize better..

HCG always does weird things to my period. It usually lasts longer... and either early or late. Glad you've got your hunger and cravings under wraps.. makes things much more bearable. Are you going to do another round? Or just continue eating right and exercising to drop the last few? I hear you on wanting more quantity too. i like more than justa cup of food. SOup is the only thing that makes me feel full

Have you thought about not eating the melba to continue the weight loss? I don't eat the melba or grissini because it messes with me. I do however miss an occasional english muffin. They look so good when my servers make them for our guests!

Stay strong.... I often read about people who had a nice loss after a planned interruption....you might just make that 22 pounds. You have a plan, and thats the best way to ensure success.

All the best in your celebrating! The Poconos suite sounds fun. We stayed there once in a room with a heart-shaped jacuzzi. I know, totally tacky, but so what?....it was really fun.

I know that after every time I do this diet, I do seem to have above normal hair loss. It doesn't last much longer than a month or so, and then it goes back to normal. Not sure why it does this, but I have noticed it in the past. But that's my own personal opinion. I wouldn't stress yourself out on it too much.

Its possible that some food or combination that we are used to having regularly is behind the creeping gains even when eating sensibly and even following food combining rules. That kind of sensitivity can also cause the fatigue you described...so maybe thats a clue for you.

Congrats on a great first week of P2.
    Thanks...

I'm on the fence about sensitivities. I do believe that we have them, but elimination diets don't seem to give me a solid result. One elimination diet tells me I have a sensitivity to a food, but another tells me, I'm ok with it.
I'm beginning to think that I may have a sensitivity to the way I ingest it.. with other foods that is. Possibly the interaction of some foods together give me the sensitivity-- but when I consume it in a different way- I seem to be fine.
I could drive myself mad with all of this. At this point, I really don't believe that I will ever have a solid answer-- mind you, that won't stop me from trying...

One of the things I read that Hayley posted was in response to someone asking why they couldn't have cauliflower on phase 1. She said basically that the reason you have allowed and non-allowed days for it is so you don't eat the same thing every day. Bingo. That says to me that if you want to have cauliflower on phase 1, then just don't have it on phase 3.

They hype is that she is targeting micronutrients in each phase, and there may be something to that in the overall picture. But making a mistake between using broccoli and cauliflower is probably not one of them. Other than broccoli has a few more grams protein than cauliflower, they are nutritionally pretty much the same.

We're all finding our way here. Its really one step at a time.

WHAT??? MAN, I am scared of what is ahead. P2 is pretty straight forward. I don't know what I will do with OPTIONS.

Keep moving forward and make the best decisions you can each day. All you can do!

    Hugs!

Ah, Kapluzie, I hope you figure out a way to maintain your hard-won weight and that you keep sharing what you learn so we can learn from you.

Over the summer, my kids and I were reading a book about the history of science. This forum reminds me of the scientific knowledge gained by great minds. We are a little like Copernicus, Newton, Hayley, the other famous scientists who tried to figure out how things worked in the universe and shared ideas and learned from each other.

You did it! Good for you. You really stayed the course. I give you a lot of credit for being ready to go back for another round. I just don't know if i could face that, at least not for a while.

I'm hanging in there with my Eat To Perform program, I'm not losing any weight, which is okay. But there is definite re-composition going on as I am fitting into things I thought I would never wear again.......I'm still doing boot camp and have added in some running days to prepare for a 10k in October.
So here is a first for me.....I'm not eating out of control. My diet has no restrictions, but I still am choosing to eat healthy, probably 80% of the time...and I'm not hungry. No real cravings, I think that is because for the first time ever, I'm adequately nourished and if I want something, I can have it. I'm eating a lot of protein, about 1gr per pound of lean body mass. and then some. But it seems to keep me satiated and I am enjoying the carbs for sure.

Wishing you good luck on your next round! My plan is to come back to HCG every now and then. Just updated my blog and will probably do so again in a month.....This ETP diet seems to be working for me so I'm going to stick with it. Learning to love myself where I'm at. Maybe at 58 I am tired of all the years of yo-yoing.......This diet is an experiment for sure, different than anything else I've done....HCG was a huge gamble and it seems to have paid off ........just going to trust the process.

Not too much activity in the forum right now. Probably a lot of moms are busy with back-to-school obligations and are too busy to start diets or spend time on a HCG website. The New Year is probably the busiest time here.

Can you have decaf or no coffee whatsoever? Tea? This sounds tough. But you're made of tough stuff, Kapluzie.

Geez kapluzie... P3 scares me... I have to look towards that direction soon... I wish I could just stay p2 .. I like the structure.although I am looking forward to advacado.

Such a learning process, but your so determined to work through it all. With that you will find success. I don't hear any glimmer of saying f' it I'm eating whatever ...

I'm confused about all the burns and what they do and the fmd as well... I need to read up on what exactly they do.( the only thing I know is the fmd helps you not gain from grains)
