    Hi, Joan! Your post caught my attention. I went through the same thing about five years ago with going through a divorce and ending my friendship with my best friend. It was such an incredibly sad time. Sometimes when I think about it, it makes me sick to think about how hard that time was. I encourage you to do your best to deal with things in healthy ways. Force yourself to make healthy choices when you feel like an unhealthy choice sounds comforting. Feel free to message me if you want to "talk". I am in P1 of my third round with VLCD 1 on Monday by the way.

    Hey Joan... good to hear from you again although the circumstances, I know, could be bettter for you. But this is a great time to reevaluate your entire life and create the one you really want. I wish you all the best and know you will have a terrific round.

    Hey, if you get a chance and feel up to it...i would love to hear about your experience on Leptin Reset. If you could send me a PM about that , Id appreciate it. Do you have any ideas why you were gaining? I have read that happens sometimes. Were you stabilizing up to that point?

    Have you started your second round yet? How is your hair loss going? Mine continued then stopped a bit Im not really sure where I have ended up. But I think the vitamins do help. Stress does not help, so I hope everything is going well with you.

    What do you mean by, "they said it wouldnt grow back"? My hair stylist said she thought a lot of mine was growing back. So I have my fingers crossed. I would love to know how your second round goes. I would love to start a 2nd round in the next couple of weeks to a month. Any advice would be amazing! Thank you!

    Oh I use Sweet N Low (saccharin) all through P2. Dr. S protocol says stevia or saccharin (even though he didn't everything about sweeteners way back then). I can't do black coffee, and I make a pitcher of water with lemon juice and sweetener and drink that throughout the day. Maybe it's messed with my losses a little, but I've always had good losses. I know better about the chips, and I would have never done that while actually taking hcg. Like I said, my body's crying out for food, and starting tomorrow I can give it some more! Although not in the form of carbs!

    according to everything I read if you do les than the 23 days and the three extra 500 cal dys you take the chance of not stabalizing well. Is it worth the chance after all this work for one day? my guess is you can hang in there those few hours!!!

    If you stall do an apple day on your third day that way ou will end with a loss.

    I worked with a DC for a while. His theory is that too much meat makes your system too acidic which can be dangerous. He would have you get some pH strips, hold one in your first morning urine and check it with the color gauge that comes with it.

    If yo uhave a library nearby, you may wish to check out a book by Dr Mike Dow, called Diet Rehab,, also available on CD, which I listen to in the car.
    He says that comfort eating is self medicating (DUH!) but further --- night eating is due to low dopamine and suggests other things we could do instead of eating to increase dopamine.

    There is also another book called the Mood Cure by Julia Ross. they also have supplements that they suggest as well.

    You may need more when you are going thru a stressful time.

    Youre fine! You know what to do. Just keep doing it. One more week....

    You really didn't blow it...You had a turkey patty, but in the grand scheme of things it was just a turkey patty, not like a spaghetti dinner or anything...Jump back on the wagon!!
