Nov 16th... VLCD5 TOM day 6

So I think today will be the last I see of TOM for a while (crossing fingers). Last night he was definitely mostly out the door, so I'm hoping for some better numbers this next week, though - I can't complain about my numbers so far at all.

This morning I was down another 1.6 lbs to put me at 243.8. According to my spreadsheet... if I keep going this rate (which I doubt), I could be in onederland by Christmas - the end of my 43 day round falls on xmas eve. How one-derful would that be?!?! I can't even fathom the thought right now... I haven't seen a beginning number of 1 since I was in high school. I would definitely be elated, but right now I'm still focusing on my first mini-goal of 220 lbs, which according to the spreadsheet, I should reach about Dec 4 or 5.

Last night I made chicken chili... ended up more being shredded chicken & tomatoes over some lettuce but it had plenty of flavor and was super yummy. I made enough for 4 servings which is good so I can have some more for lunch, and then Tilapia with cucumbers tonight for dinner. I may reverse that, not sure yet. I'm thinking about doing some light cardio workout tonight. Before I started hcg, I had been doing some of the Beachbody workouts. The TurboJam series, to be more specific. I'm really concerned about loose skin by losing all this weight so fast, so I think maybe some ab workouts are called for. It's a light 20 minute ab workout, and perhaps a little of the cardio as well. I probably won't do the full hour of cardio. I noticed last night that when I was vacuuming the house, my arm got sore a lot faster than normal so I can tell my muscles are a little weak. I just hope that it doesn't make me gain if I work out.
It will be an experiment, of sorts.

Looking forward to this weekend.... I get to spend Saturday with my best friend, and he always makes the days so much brighter. He is the most amazing person I know, honestly. Currently, he's fighting brain cancer. 2 months ago the doctors found a mass in his brain, they did a craniotomy and it was found to be cancerous, though low grade (grade II). He's currently undergoing radiation treatments and starts his minimal chemotherapy round today.... I'm so proud of him. He has maintained such a positive outlook on things, he puts me trying to lose some pounds to shame. But, in the end, it is all for him. He is my soulmate, and the one who will be beside me for the rest of my life. I can't wait to make him as proud as he's made me. We went to dinner last Saturday for my last loading day dinner (red lobster), and had the most wonderful night we've had in years. I know this Saturday will be just as amazing, which is why I'm just really looking forward to it. It can't get here quick enough.

Here's a pic of us taken in Reno together, Sept 25th...
