Atruehearts Adventures in HCG Land

You're hot then you're cold... You're up then you're down

After yesterdays loss of almost 3 lbs, and the excitement of it, todays loss of only .4 was a real let down. I am on VLCD7 and I expected more! What a disappointment. The only thing I did different yesterday was that I snuck in 8 grape tomatoes before I went to bed. I got all my fluids in before 8 pm. I got all my calories in that I was supposed to:

Breakfast - 17 oz of water 1 orange
Lunch - spinach, tilapia, 32 oz of water
Supper - cabbage and beef soup 32 oz tea w/2 packs of sweet and low
snack - orange, 1/2 cup of coffee
Late night snack - 8 grape tomatoes (no sea salt!)

My 6 year old grandson held a Wii Dance Party last night and I danced with him about 6 different songs. Nothing too strenuous. Didn't break a sweat. Now, I did get up at 8:30 this morning instead of my usual 6:30 am. I don't think that makes a big difference though.

One of the cool/gross things they have at my HCG office is a gross looking blob of yellow fat. It weighs 5 pounds and is lumpy and bumpy. My counselor reminded me that I had lost 1 and a half of those this past week. When you look at it that way you can tell yourself you are doing awesome. But the fact that the scale barely moved this morning didn't feel so awesome. Jo told me that after such a big loss yesterday that I shouldn't have expected too much today and she reassured me that I was still on track. Well, excuse me for my lack of enthusiasm. Maybe when I wake up more and the day progresses I will feel better about the whole .4 weight loss thing. There is always tomorrow! That is if the world doesn't end today!

.4 is still a good loss. I think I read somewhere that grape and cherry tomatoes have a higher sugar/carb content than the regular tomatoes. Might want to check into that.

Oh! I didn't think of that! Thanks Vineeta for pointing that out.

I think Vineeta is right. stay on protocol.
.4 lost is .4 lost, not gained. Your body is trying to figure out what you are doing.
Love the quote...up and down. That's a great song!
    Stay true!

You just got some water where your fat used to be. You will pee it out and be losing even more ASAP. A lot of women lose a lot then hold steady, then lose a lot then hold steady. So it all equals out the same in the end. Hang in there and ditch those cherry tomatoes. You are doing awesome!

I like cherry tomatoes. lol. I think you're doing absolutely fantastic. And I love the idea of a mental picture of what you're losing. I think of it in terms of physical things too. A 10 lb. sack of potatoes or a couple of those. A bag of cat or dog food that I'm lifting... this is how much weight I've lost so far. It helps in terms of me keeping on. My pants not cutting into my skin leaving me permanent marks until the next morning. A 3 lb. weight loss in one day girl?! That's what I lost this WEEK!! Don't get discouraged. You're doing amazing!!!

My first round I drop HUGE my first 2 weeks and then I stalled for 8 days! After I figured out what happened, I can not eat red meats or oranges. Huge stall food for me. After I got that passed my system, I was able to drop again. Don't get down .4 is a loss so take it and run..
