Trying to get everyone, (including me) more active this summer

Rate this Entry
Even though no one in my family has weight issues, it is shocking to me how inactive they are! As a kid, I spent the entire day outside playing, where they sit on their duffs and depend on one electronic device or another for entertainment.
So, I decorated the deck, put up a net for volleyball/badminton, horseshoe pit, ladder ball, pool is going up this weekend, and to encourage my caveman hubby to spend more time outdoors, I put in a fire pit. We live in a tourist town with beautiful beaches, but I am sooooo not comfortable being in public in a bathing suit,,doubt I ever will be, considering my highest weight was 265.5, and after losing 104.1 to date, my legs are pretty bad w/excess skin. I was able to have skin in other areas removed, but havent been able to afford to get the legs done yet, and cant seem to find a bathingsuit that will cover it. So for now, I will enjoy the back yard, away from the judgmental eyes of the beach going crowd003.jpg010.jpg

Hi Erin. Most people don't care what we look like as they are worried about themselves. You've lost a lot of weight and that is something to be proud of. I usually wear thigh or knee length exercise pants with long swim top to public pool to take my kids swimming. I don't want to deprive them because I'm ashamed of not looking the way I did before having my second child. When I get to goal after another round, I will wear that suit wiggly legs and all! I hope you decide to strut your accomplishment!
