I CHEATED!!!!! and gained.......UGH!

Rate this Entry
Well, after cheating yesterday, it's no big surprise that I gained... 1.0!! Ouch... I hope I don't completely stall now.. It's funny though, of all the weight I have lost, the majority of it, was during the first week! I lost about 11lbs in my first week, and only 6 in the last two! That is a huge bummer.. I was really strict too! I didn't cheat AT ALL in those last two weeks. I didn't eat the Grissini or the Melba toast either, I was super concerned the carbs would affect me negatively. I know I need to drink more water, and I probably should lay off the coffee..
The thing that is bothering me most are my mental cravings.. even after having the chocolate chip cookies yesterday, I had a horrible headache.. but I still wanted more!! I already know what it tastes like.. and that sensation only lasts for a fleeting moment, so WHY do I want more??!! Sugar... it's SO addictive. I was reading the other day that the chemical compound for sugar is only one atom away from the chemical compound of cocaine.... I am not sure how true that is ... but even close?? YIKES!!
I am definitely addicted to the stuff. I don't know how I am going to ever kick it.. I will ALWAYS want sugar.. maybe less to some degree because of how it makes me feel now, but Geesh!! It's bad stuff...

I may need to go find another job....!!

I know what you mean. I love starchy food and will always will. I just need to practice moderation, keep exercising and drinking water/tea and stop running to it when I am stressed and/or depressed. Maybe I'll start crying instead and throw myself on the bed. LOL. I was never an emotional person.

Get back on board. You will recoup and do fine.

I ate 3 almond flour pancakes yesterday with butter only and gained 2.2lbs ! I have not gone to the bathroom yet today and am hoping that will show a loss once that happens. I am planning to do high protein, veggies, no nuts or fruit and hoping tomorrow I back to LDW or less! If you are not eating 500-515 calories a day, you will not lose much. Same goes for not drinking enough water and tea. I drink loads of tea and water in P2 but find in P3, I am not drinking enough water and hardly any tea. You can lose that lb and will! I found cravings in P2 but they are gone now in P3 for the most part. I do crave chocolate but, you can have mug cake in P3 so that helps and I eat Cacao nibs which helps too. You might find that your sweet tooth might be much better and once you are in P3 or P4. I have a HUGE sweet tooth and it is improved but, I still love desserts etc! We know now, how to get rid of the weight so when we induldge, we just need to eat protein etc. and it will disappear. I am doing it today so we shall see! Good luck to you! Stay away from cookies today

Funny thing about staying away from those cookies.... I DON'T EVEN WANT ONE TODAY!! I guess the pain of the headache and weight gain won out over the sugar blues... and I think keeping a cup of tea and full water jug near me all day will be a definite help.. I hope you don't get discouraged, your gain is probably JUST your lack of having #2's!!!! Sennekot works great for me when it goes too long.. But smooth move tea is a great second option if you don't have any handy.. Good luck and hang tough!! I am loving this site!! I really needed the support!

I refuse to quit... pushing the RESET button now... and you are absolutely right, stress and depression will cause me to cheat 9 times out of 10..
I think I am going to start walking again, I read that people who exercise on HCG lose better than those that don't.. Btw.. I was ALWAYS emotional.. as I've gotten older, I'm not so tearful about as many things...

Okay after reading this I had to look it up and it is a bit scary: They are awfully close that's for sure!

Glucose is a sugar monosaccharide (monomer): C6H12O6
    Table sugar (sucrose) is C12H22O11

    Cocaine: Formula C17H21NO4

Great advice from all above. I think your losses are the norm, a lot is lost the first week, then it averages out much slower the weeks after, with minimal losses, then maybe a larger loss one day, and sometime even slight gains. Hang in there and it averages out! Hcg does work, you just have to work the program--as u know. I'm with u, I didn't exercise my first round, lost well, about 26-27 lbs., but am going to do this 2nd round with exercise and see what happens. O--and mamabear, that is scary!
