Round 2 adventures

Day seven and down .6

Rate this Entry
The losses continue to be steady but I still haven't sorted out being stopped up. I'll get to that today.

Yesterday I couldn't face the fresh spinach so I threw it into a blender with my orange and a tiny sliver of ginger. It was better than gnawing through tough leaves but still not an attractive alternative (BRIGHT green!) So for the duration I'm going to shelve fresh spinach and eat frozen. I don't like a lot of the choices for veg so that leaves me cucumber, frozen spinach, and asparagus. There must be more out here in the spinach family so I'll do a search and ask around.

Another change I made is apple cider vinegar (ACV). Colleen mentions that it stalls her and I know that I drink a lot of it so yesterday I put a stop to it. Getting used to plain water wasn't as bad as I expected. I miss my ACV though!

What I ate yesterday:

Breakfast: Coffee with milk
Lunch: Chicken w mustard, spinach with orange
Dinner: Steak w mustard, cucumber
Snack: Green apple

Today: -.6 lbs
Total: -6.3 lbs

Congrats on your losses Catthai you're doing great!

Not sure I can visualise the blended spinach with orange and ginger lol!

I find it hard to stomach water also, but have found that just a tiny drop of vanilla stevia in my water then drinking through a straw makes it much more tolerable. Not sure if stevia stalls anyone, I haven't heard that but suppose it's not impossible.

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks Stelly :-) My body is craving fresh greens so I thought I'd give it one last try. I can eat salads (just remembered) but lettuce isn't really filled with much (needs fancy bits to increase value).

Sadly, I cannot use stevia. In grand anticipation, I purchased vanilla, lemon, regular (a HUGE bottle), chocolate, and toffee (or similar) and they give me headaches that last for three days. I've never felt the like before. Nothing kills the pain so it's suffer until it's gone. I also ordered the sugar starting with an X but that doesn't work either. Pooh!

That's a shame about the stevia - maybe it's the brand? There seems to be a lot of sweeteners out there and more turning up all the time, and I guess it is a case of trying different things and listening to the body's wisdom.

I know what you mean with the lettuce, I find it a chore to eat, but I do love using it to wrap up other foods in and it often adds a nice texture especially to spicy ground beef.

I'm not sure about the brand but after suffering like I did, I'm not going to go there again :-D

Here I go again... I cannot find a low percentage fat ground beef out here. And I love ground beef! In P3 I ate hamburger at least once a week. I can get ground chicken but there are fat globs all through it. I'd get a meat grinder but I don't know where to start looking (and P2 doesn't last long enough to justify the cost). Further into this P2 I might just try out the ground beef by looks - choosing the least fatty one.

Catthai, I would be interested in buying your stevia. I use Truvia and it is good. I wish I had flavors and was thinking about buying stevia. Message me and we can talk terms.

Also, I have found that I can grate frozen chicken on a cheese grater and get the same texture as ground chicken. You may want to try that. I also do it with steak, but it is harder to grate.

Keep up your effort. The payoff is coming!

Troya, I'm in Thailand and I checked to see that you are in Florida. And sadly, the shipping from here is OTT so it wouldn't be cost effective. A pity, because I have a lot of the stuff.

Thanks for the cheese grater tip! I really love how ground meet soaks in spices so they've been sorely missed.

Thailand is on my bucket list. I plan to visit there in the next 2 years. I will order my stevia through amazon, I guess.

"bucket list" is curious/fun term. Where did it come from?

Have you tried iHerb.com? I haven't checked their prices against amazon because amazon won't ship that sort of thing here.

Bucket list= A list of things you want to do before you die ("kick the bucket").

"kick the bucket" + list = Bucket list.

Ah. Sweet! I like that :-)
