Strict vegetarians such as orthodox Hindus present a special problem, because milk and curds are the only animal protein they will eat. To supply them with sufficient protein of animal origin they must drink 500 cc. of skimmed milk per day, though part of this ration can be taken as curds. As far as fruit, vegetables and starch are concerned, their diet is the same as that of non-vegetarians; they cannot be allowed their usual intake of vegetable proteins from leguminous plants such as beans or from wheat or nuts, nor can they have their customary rice. In spite of these severe restrictions, their average loss is about half that of non-vegetarians, presumably owing to the sugar content of the milk.
I found this in Dr. Simeon's transcript. I am a little disappointed. I wish that I would have investigated this more before making my decision to do the HCG. Because of what I have read, and because I have committed myself to this program, I have decided to eat meat until I finish this protocol. This is a very large sacrifice to make not to realize the full possible results. I am at the end of my first week of first gorging myself and then almost starving myself. (I know anyone reading this gets what I am saying)...it is just too much for nothing. I have eaten healthy foods and never gone over 500 calories and I have gained 1 pound. That doesn't even make sense.
Starting today, all of my accountability will be 100% loyal to the original program. I will go back to eating healthy after the program is over.
