P3, Day 6

Ok, so day 4 of P3 didn't go so well. Was up in weight some Saturday a.m. But then on Sunday a.m., I weighed in and found I had lost .8 of a lb., so was only .8 above last dose weight. Didn't get a chance to blog my food intake for yesterday. So here goes Sunday's menu:

Breakfast: (3) small no-sugar added sausage patties, coffee with SF French Vanilla Creamer.

Mid morning Snack: 1 cup of 2% Fage Yogurt, flavored with 1 tsp of Hershey's Unsweetened Chocolate Cocoa, and xylitol.

Lunch: Baked Chicken Breast and Cabbage Foil Packet (a p2 recipe), dipping sauce made with mayo/mustard/stevia.

Afternoon Snack: 20-28 Dry Roasted Almonds.

Dinner: (2) Burger Grilled on GF grill, 4 Romaine Lettuce Leaves, Sliced Onion, 1 T of Dukes Mayo. 1 cup of Strawberries sweetened with Stevia for dessert.

After dinner Snack: 1 cup (yes, another cup) of 2% Chocolate/xylitol sweetened Fage Yogurt.

I figure the calories intake was approx. 1500-1600 cal, at most 1700. I'm ok with that. Wasn't stuffed, but satisfied.

Now it's Monday a.m. and I'm down .2 this morning. So about .6 oz. over last dose weight. On those days off hcg, before starting p3 I really didn't lose weight, so I had no cushion for the 2 lb. leeway of last dose weight. I figured this was how it was going to go because of that. And it is going to be somewhat of a struggle because of that. Just having extra food in the tummy will naturally cause a slight gain I would think. Well, it is what it is.

Meal plan for today:

Breakfast: Fixed a Flaxseed Meal Minute Muffin. It was very good, with butter on it. With the butter, about 300 calories.

Mid-morning Snack: Will have a cup of strawberries with sf whipped cream. (I want to eat enough to get my body used to more calories.)

Lunch: "Hamburger cookies", already prepared, will slightly nuke them to warm them a tiny bit, then make my mayo/mustard/stevia dipping sauce. (I'm a creature of habit, I love these), or else with Romaine lettuce leaves and onion slices?

Mid-afternoon: ????

Dinner: I think I'm going downstairs after this and put a roast in the crock pot. Will fix a p2 recipe of Sweetie's. Where u add radishes instead of potatoes. I've wanted to try these, and I got all the ingredients at the store this weekend. Maybe add a small salad with blue cheese dressing for another veggie.

Evening Snack: Either almonds or the Fage yogurt, my new favorite.

Tomorrow we shall see how this goes, weight up or down. I'm on day 6 of p3, really want to stabilize.

There's a lot I could do for variety, but I think I must be a lazy cook. Have yet to ever make the cocoa crack or a mug cake. Though it would probably best to wait until further into p3. Will try and keep everyone posted on how the scales react tomorrow.

I am exercising regularly. Yesterday, I did over an hour of cardio, and a few weight, strengthening exercises. Want to continue that, as some tightening needs to be done yet. Lots of inches have been lost! Yay!!

    I think you are right about the extra food in your tummy causing weight to be higher. It just food running through your system. It will all even out. Your meals look GREAT. I love cabbage. I eat steamed cabbage with chicken almost every night of p2 with dijon or regular mustard. Congrats on your inches lost and thank you for the update. Have a great day!

    Hi Dubbs! I also put a roast the crock pot this morning! You're doing great! What is Fage yogurt? I see it mentioned on here an have never seen it. Is it a regional thing, a brand, or what? I've been getting my exercise walking the puppy (does it burn as many calories if you're being pulled by the puppy?) around 45 minutes a day. Also, I meant to ask you what kwim means? Don't know that either....Good luck today!

    This is something I thought about too this morning so I decided to up my calories today. We will see.

    I'm glad it's going so well for you!

    Later this week I will be putting a roast in the crock pot to make taquitos for the family, but for me the outside will be my oopsie rolls with avocado dip, I make mine with lemon, onion powder and salt. Very good! I love my crock pot!

    Joan, kwim: know what I mean? Fage yogurt is the brand of a Greek Yogurt. It is very creamy, and the 2% and 0 fat is low calorie, but pretty tart. So we sweeten it, flavor it, and it tastes then like chocolate mousse. Really, the texture is like a pudding. Some eat the full fat Fage, but at 300 cal. a cup vs. 130 for the 2% Fage, I'm gonna have to stick to the 2%. It has a lot of protein as well, I think like 17 grams of protein in a serving. Yummy. It's so good when u flavor it, it's like dessert.

    Raggedyann, do the oopsie rolls come out pretty good for you? I need to learn how to make them. I miss bread, like for a burger. This morning I fixed the flaxseed meal muffin, and it was good. I substituted the cream of tarter for the baking powder which isn't allowed on p3. I've made it before, but it came out better this time. P3 is a challenge, that's for sure. But the food is pretty daggone good.

    Oopsie rolls come out great. I use my kitchen aid mixer for them. I like to make them with cinnamon, vanilla and stevia and have them for breakfast with sf syrup. They taste just like french toast.

    Every batch I make is perfect but my bff cannot make them at all. When you substitute baking powder you are suppose to use baking soda instead and double it. So if it asks for 1/2tsp bp add 1tsp bs.

    I double my batch for the oopsies bc the smaller one doesn't mix well in my mixer. I have not had any problems eating them either, lol. Just make sure you stock up on cream cheese bc you'll be making these daily, lol.

    Dubbles I looooooooove the idea of the Fage with the unsweetened cocoa and xylitol! I am preparing for P3 and just stocked some 2% Fage. Thank you for the menus as I am working on those too.
    Raggedyann...Oopsie rolls sound incredible. I will do a search for the recipe.

    Wow! I hope I can eat 1600 calories, that would be awesome. Thanks for posting your menu it will help me tremendously starting P3 for the first time on Saturday!!

    Great menu! I love Fage. I might've indulged in it a little too much today! I'm trying to get my calories up too and I think just having more mass in my digestive system makes my weight go up a bit. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it until I'm 2 lbs over LDW.

    So THAT's what Fage yogurt is. My local store finally got Greek Yogurt in (I was in heaven over the arrival of cottage cheese so this is one step higher than heaven). Greek Yogurt tastes amazing over half an avocado.

    Thank you so much for posting your menu. Maybe it'll get me off my lazy butt to do more than the easiest of meals.

    @justjoan: just searched the forum and found this recipe for oopsie rolls - maybe it will help?
    Oopsie Rolls (a P3 recipe)

    You take 3 eggs, divided
    3 oz cream cheese
    pinch of cream of tartar.

    Whip the whites & cream of tartar until stiff.
    Remove gently to separate bowl
    Beat the yolks & UNsoftened cream cheese
    Gently fold the yolk/cheese mix into the stiffened whites w/ a spatula
    Spoon mounds of mixture onto greased cookie sheet (~6 mounds) & flatten/form as you want it
    Bake at 300 for 30 minutes.

    You can use for burgers, hot dogs, dip in egg/spices/cream & grill up for french toast, cover w/ strawberries & whipped cream....the possibilities are ENDLESS. They are light and fluffy, so not the consistency of bread -- but still doable.


    @Dubbles - you are doing great! I'm learning so much from you just keep it up. everything will even out it's jst early days

    DUBBLES - You're doing great! I've never tried Fage, could never find it - and now my Walmart had some! Now I'm excited to try it, it sounds good! Oh, and love the minute muffins with the flaxseed meal - I've made those before when on Atkins. I sometimes add Raspberry extract or orange extract - gives them a nice dessert-y feel.... Keep on keepin on, lady!
