Day 12 (33) Warning: Ranting and raving ahead! Enter at own risk!

Rate this Entry
Well, blech! Woke this morning to a gain of .6. Feel like crying all over my cup of tea and breadstick!

I only have 7 days of drops left (hopefully my drops will last) and I lay awake at night asking myself questions like - if I am only eating 500 cals or less a day how is it I am putting on weight? Because I feel so well, doesn't that mean my bloodstream is drenched with the nutrients from all the nasty fat I am living off from my body? So shouldn't I be losing? How much water can a body retain? I bet if I weigh myself in the morning and then drink 3 big glasses of water I will still weigh the same - what's the deal there? Doesn't water weigh a lot? TOM is due - where is TOM? Will I keep gaining until TOM arrives and when it does will it burst my water retention bubble? Or will I keep gaining until TOM disappears and I am back to where I started? Do I have enough days left in P2 to get even remotely near my goal? Will I dread to go into P3 for fear of eating too much and gaining more?

And then I tell myself "Snap out of it! You weigh almost 17 lbs less than when you started and that is awesome! And the weight will drop off again as soon as your body decides to let go of the water again! And keep reading the posts on the forum as all those amazing men and women are giving you so much inspiration and proof to keep going!"

And so I am back to normal now and enthusiastically awaiting the start of P3 in 9-10 days time! Another question - who knows, maybe I will even lose on P3 since I won't be eating fruit OR breadsticks!

You may lose a little, but you're supposed to maintain at that point and stay within 2 lbs of your last day weight. That's when you're resetting your metabolism.

Thanks justjoan060, or should I call you Joan?

If I'm honest, I am really over the moon about coming this far with these results. If I have to lose more, I am happy to do a cycle because I know that compared to other diets I've inflicted on myself over the years, this one is so doable!
