So yesterday afternoon was a slow day at the office and one of the girls decided to be nice and go out and get everybody in the office a cupcake from one of the cupcake stores around town. That's really sweet and all...but nobody in the office knows that I'm on a diet let a,one the HCG diet. So she came back with cupcakes and I stayed in my office. Then about three minutes later she says "Come on, Emily I know you want a cupcake." and I say "thanks so much but I'm really full from lunch!" and she's like "Emily, I know how much you love Reese's peanut butter cups so I got you a Reese's cupcake"
...
Everyone. And I mean everyone. Was eating a cupcake. I was the only one in the entire office not eating one and everyone was making fun of me for not eating it. The day before, one of the office ladies brought back the huge cookies from McAlister's and gave me one of them and instead of eating it I put it in my purse for Will to eat when I got home. Nobody knew that I didn't eat it but there was so much pressure to eat this damn cupcake. I didn't know what to do. I know this all sounds so silly but I especially didn't want to tell them about the diet while they were all picking on me for not eating the cupcake. So I ended up eating the cupcake and most of the frosting. It was okay...if I had known I was going to cheat yesterday I definitely would've chosen something else...
When I told Will about it he couldn't understand why I didn't just say that I was on a diet...I don't know. I guess maybe he didn't believe me when I say that I didn't want to eat it but was peer pressured into it. After work I went home and ran on the treadmill for about 15 minutes - since I usually don't work out on this part of the diet I was hoping my body would be like "okay! Working off that cupcake right away ma'am!"
I guess only seeing 0.8lbs gain is not too bad. I just hope it doesn't ruin the last little leg of phase 2 for me...
Today's menu:
Breakfast - nothing
Lunch - 100g grilled chicken over lettuce with one cucumber
Dinner - 6oz Fage with 1 tbsp strawberry just fruit
Snack - 6oz Fage with 1 tbsp strawberry just fruit
I will just hope for the best......
