R2 Starting weight + VLCD 2 - No gains from loading!

I don't know how this is possible, but I didn't gain any loading weight in R2! I am going to go ahead and speculate that it's because for the whole month of August, I "loaded". I knew R2 was coming and I stabilized so nicely in P3/P4 that I started back some nasty habits in August. As a result, I gained back about 7 pounds. It felt kind of fun to indulge, and I didn't feel "out of control" hungry at any point - I was just being bad (:

It's also worth mentioning that I fell off the wagon due to DIET COKE. I was psychologically prepared to debunk the theory that it was dangerous in any way, so I hate to admit it. Here's how it happened. In P3 (Atkins, for me), I stuck to the plan, I was rigid - I stayed on it for 4 weeks and it was utter BLISS. I loved being able to eat high fat/high protein/low-no carb. I had great energy and my goal calorie intake was 1900 per day. I was eating some of my favorites and *didn't get hungry at all*, even though I had been off of the HCG for a long while. I started incorporating Fanta Zero, which I think I tolerated pretty well, and it gave me a sweet treat once a day. When I ran out of Fanta Zero, I went ahead and added in Diet Coke and the downward spiral began. I was consuming caffeine - probably about 3 servings a day. My sleep cycle was disturbed, and for the first time since MAY, I started feeling SO HUNGRY. I started getting into the kids' snacks and giving in to every craving. I stopped drinking water, and after a few weeks of that, I decided to virtually throw in the towel. Pigging out after that was slightly guilt-free. Funnel cakes at the fair(s), Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper, Hot Dogs, waffles, ice cream. I had lost so much on R1 that I didn't mind gaining back a few by enjoying my summer. I knew it wasn't going to last forever - and even as I start R2 now, I know I could go back to whole grains only and stay under 50 carbs a day if I wanted to - but I am going to go ahead and take the boost from Activator.

Losing water weight this week has already flattened the belly and my waistline is starting to shrink. Detoxing from sugar and carbs is feeling pretty good. I think I'm going to like it here (:

    Forgot to say the weight: LDW in June=147. Starting weight in September=153.
