Hungry, Grumpy Miserable me

Today the HCG is letting me down. I woke up starving. Like my tummy's rumbling I think I am going to die hungry. I have a headache, I feel weak and I am short tempered. And what do my kids want for breakfast this morning....bacon. This did not make me any happier or less grumpy or less hungry for that matter. Even if your a vegan the smell of bacon when you are starving is going to cause some sort of reaction in you. I took a bite of that dang bacon. Just a little bite. I don't know how I stopped myself from eating more but I did. I had an orange and a couple of cups of coffee. I was still hungry. I made a spinach omelet for lunch. 1 whole egg and four egg white. I think I over did it on the egg whites but I wanted to make sure I curbed my hunger plus without oil part of the egg sticks to the pan. It only worked for about an hour. I took a small bite of cheese. That worked for about an hour. Now I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hungry again. I won't cheat anymore then I already have. I bite of bacon, one bite of cheese and an extra egg white is all I am willing to do. At least I know I am not really starving well at least I think I do. I feel like crap. I want to take a nap. I'm being a brat. Because I am fat.

    Buy cucumbers.when you get that feeling, drink water and eat a few slices. It will make you feel better.

    Also, skinny people get hungry too. It's just cause before this you were used to snacking.

    Mind you this is only my second VLCD but today I've been hungry every four hours. I had strawberries so I used 5 strawberries and cut them up as a snack. Later I was a little hungry and cut up two more strawberries, and then a few slices of cucumber a few minutes ago. After dinner I don't plan on having anything else after dinner.

    I'm on day 7 and I'm pretty hungry, too! Drink 3-4 cups of water right before you eat..... It's a lot of water but it makes u fuller...... Also, have u tried baked apples?......take an apple slice it up, put no-calorie sweetener on them and sprinkle with cinnamon.......soooooooooo good and filling.

    Jewely, this may sound like a stupid question (I'm a newbie) but do you actually bake the apple. Sounds delicious as is, but wasn't sure. Also, the 3-4 cups of water before eating tends to help me too.

    Cyn, you did good! Not sure I wld have been able to bypass bacon!
    I agree with Jewely... Waters and apples will be your friend. Also ask one of the moderators about your dosage. Maybe something is off. Stick with it.

    Not stupid at all. I baked for 20 min on 350. Some microwave for 1.5 minutes, but 20 min gave me time to eat my food and feel like I'm having dessert! I'm sure it would be just as good raw but baking them was OMGoooooood!!!!!!!!

    Cyn..... It's NOT the end of the world, what u did wasn't even "bad". keep going. You're doing great!!!!!

    Has anyone ever had one meal? Is it okay to skip? Don't really WANT to but my schedule was thrown off because of church. I didn't eat my lunch until 4:30. Not really hungry now (7:34). Was thinking I'd just call it a night.... But I didn't want the LACK of food/calories make me gain.

    Cyn, I use soup. That may help curb your hunger -- how long did the coffee work for?

    Hi everyone,
    Thanks for all the support. For dinner I made a soup out of chicken broth steak and kale. The chicken broth might have added more calories. I am up .2 lbs this morning. I am not as hungry as I was yesterday morning so that is a good sign. I have been drinking lots of coffee, tea and lots of water. Yesterday was beyond the normal hunger I usually feel. Not sure why I felt that way but my body wanted to mutiny.
