I am so excited about finding this forum and groups to help with support, advice and information while I take this journey! I am so focused and ready for this...my glass is so half full! I am 42 years old, married to my best friend 21 years strong and who has seen me at my best and worst during the changes in my weight. I am starting this at 258 and my goal is 135. Today is my first "real" day after the 2 days of loading....I am feeling quite queasy today but am chalking this up to the vitamin supplements I started

Load Day 1 258
Load Day 2 257
P1 D1 253

****Not sure how in the world I am dropping already as I took full advantage of my load days....but I will take it!!!

Kellie

Love the title, Kellie! You are going to do fantastic if your body is already responding.

Thank you so much!!! I sure hope so as I really feel this is the right time for me I struggled a few times today (1st day 500 cal) with hunger but worked through it so I am super excited! Would love to hear how you are doing along the way as well....I know support is key and my husband is a firefighter who isn't keen on the 500 cal a day so I am really looking for support here and would love to give it back as well

Hi Kellie, I am so happy for you to have found this.

Yes! Support is key and having a blog to document your experience will really help you, even if no one comments. It is for you...to make notes and create a history. You can even show your food for the day if you would like. I keep a notebook for that. I record weight , loss (hopefully) food intake and exercise. It really helps me to look back and adjust and understand if certain foods do not act well on my body. Very important!
I have been on for just 4 wks and have lost about 25 lbs - happy, happy!
I am so looking forward to this being my last diet.
I have found the key a few times but each time, I listened to well intentioned people and gradully was convinced that I cld eat like a normal person. And guess what? I can't. As soon as I do then weight comes back and quickly.
I wish you all the best in finding your way and please contact me whenever you wish. Ask lots of questions. The search box on the top is fabulous! There has not been a question I have had thAt did not have tons of threads about it. Take care!

BTW, my body reacted like yours and I lost over 17 lbs in the first 2 wks, most of that - over 12 in the first week! How's that for incentive???

Hi Kellie, I am on day 28 of P2 VLCD. It does get easier after the first week. I have so much more energy ( no more afternoon naps needed). I have lost 20 lbs and am so happy. I was addicted to sugar but now I really have no cravings and this is huge for me. Stick to it and weigh in every morning. It keeps you honest. Good luck:-)

Thanks Mitzil!!! So funny that you mention naps because each day around the same time I want to nap (but do not give in)....I haven't felt this way since my children were young and would steal a nap when they did LOL Glad to know that it is "normal" and will hopefully pass. You are doing very well and I thank you for sharing your motivation!!!
